They started off their response by saying "I'm a big first amendment supporter." That clearly implies there is a first amendment issue at play otherwise there would be no reason to even state that.
No it implies that I support the 1st Amendment and the five Freedoms it protects which gives the reader an idea of why I was offended by Disney's action. Not saying my opinion is right or wrong just saying it's my opinion and the basis of my opinion. I believe in a free press/freedom of speech and I felt that Disney was too close to trying to exert their opinion over the reporter's and punish the paper for printing it.
Oh but I do agree that if the NFL chooses to make the policy that all players must stand during the anthem it is not a violation of the 1st Amendment, Free Speech or anything else. Because as an employee your employer is allowed to set standards for behavior. But the Times is not employed by Disney so it's really two different scenarios.
