Disney Rewards for DDP at check-in?

Does anyone know if I can use my Disney Rewards card toward our DDP when we check-in?

Sure - they will be happy to accept that as payment for the DDP.

Along the same lines, would I be able to give the front desk my rewards card at check-in so as we go along and charge everything to the room, it would be automatically deducted? My current rewards card expires Dec. 06 and on a previous trip, I totally forgot to give it in at the end of the trip. It wasn't that big a deal at that time because we had subsequent trips planned long before the card expired. That's not the case this time.

I don't know if you can do that at the desk.

We were there in October and just used it as a credit card for all our purchases.

Checked in at BWV on 11/7, and used all of our rewards dollars for dining plan with no problem. Paid the difference with our Amex. You won't have any problems!

Does anyone also know if they will take cash for the remaining balance or will they only take credit/debit cards?

They will take cash, we were there 10/26 BWV and i was paying my portion for the ddp on my cc and my Best friend wanted to pay cash for her portion.
The cm told us that was fine execpt since they were in a hurry this morning because of the DVC Members cruise just arrived, she didnt grab a cash drawer. The cm said she would look for another cm that had a cash drawer, i told her not to bother i would put it all on my cc. Yes you can pay cash.

The only form of payment I've had any problem with was the Gift cards. They can't tatke them at the hotel front desks yet (some kind of computer system problem). Otherwise, I've used cahs, traveller's checks, CC, rewards card, all with no problem. Have a good trip!
