A question for Disney Visa holders....can you use Disney Reward Dollars to pay DVC dues? thanks, Diane

I will have to check on this, I was told last week that you can make Cruise payments with the Rewards Card. That made my day.

The rewards card that you refill with your rewards points is accepted anywhere VISA is accepted.

I have a Disney Visa but have yet to use any points that we've accumulated. What do you do?....call the customer service # on the card and request that a voucher be sent to you? Do they send you some type of Visa gift card and then you can use it for Disney products? Is it possible to use it to buy, say, La Nouba tickets? Thanks.....Gotta think ahead!

Yes, you can use it to pay dues - even a partial amount. Our DVC dues were around $600, we paid $300 via the rewards points, and had the remaining $300 drafted monthly from our checking account.:goodvibes

If you have internet access, I like to do it that way, easier to me to see what's happening. Chases' website is pretty user-friendly. First you order a card that works like a gift card, and you choose how many points to put on the card. 10 or 25 point minimum, I don't remember which. The point reward card expires annually ( I think) So I rather keep only a few points on it instead of more. Any unused points on it will be lost at the card expirsation date. You can use it anywhere at Disney, and I think the Disney Stores, and Disney Stores ONline that accept credit cards/gift cards.;)

You can move points over at anytime very easily as you need them. And I think there is a station at DTD where you can do this onsite too~

edit - oops - I'm pretty sure you can use it at La Nouba - but I don't know if you have to be there in person or not~

The most common way to use your reward dollars is to request a Disney Rewards card, which is similar to a Disney gift card. You can use it to charge purchases at Disneyland, Disney World, Disney Stores, Disney cruises, and www.disneyshopping.com. There are also other options, as disneynutz points out, such as checks that can be used to purchase Disney merchandise or movie tickets.

For more details see this link.

You go through the process of getting the Rewards card and then call Member Accounting, tell them you want to pay with reward points and they get the information from you. I think you give them the number off the card and tell them how much you want to pay.

Here's something else I learned just recently....if you happen to get a Disney Gift Card, these can also be used to pay DVC dues!

I do all my Rewards transactions online at the Chase website. You get the rewards transfer immediately once you have the Rewards card. You have to order the Rewards card with a $10.00 min order. We just used ours for our whole trip! Our room was a point stay. I took our card up to the front desk the night before check out. Paid the bill. I did have the Disney Visa on file with the front desk, but did not have to use it.
