Disney Reward, Gift Card, Room Key Question

Is it possible to put our Disney Rewards card money and 2 Disney gift card amounts onto our room account when we check in? The room will be paid for before we get there. I like using the single room key/ticket/charge card method and wondered if I could start the trip with a $500 or so credit on the room key. That way I wouldn't have to carry them all around and keep track of the various amounts. Then when that amount is used up, they would start charging our credit card as usual.

I don't know about check in, but if you goto the desk at checkout you can have the amount on your cards put on your bill.

hum, I don't know neither. It would be nice though. IF no one knows, I would call Disney directly and ask. But don't forget to come back on and tell us.

I think what you can do is give them a credit card for charging, then at checkout give them the gift cards to pay that balance instead. I'd ask at the front desk to be sure.

In September we put a credit card on our room but every night I went down to the desk and paid off that days balance with our Reward Card and Disney Dollars. I wanted to use all of those up first before I moved on to the credit card. Since we only ended up with $60.00 over that went on our credit card it wasn't charged until we checked out. We never went over the $500.00 (POP Century) limit where they would charge your card at that point.

Hmmmm.....Mrs. Grumpy is getting close! I'd love to "get rid" of them all as soon I arrive, though. I'd hate to carry $550 worth of gift cards with me (plus $120 in Disney dollars) and I'd hate to leave them in the room. Oh! I just remembered! Our room has a safe. If they won't let me pre-credit the account, perhaps I can just take one at a time and leave the rest in the safe.

I didn't carry them with me. I kept them in the room safe (the Disney dollars anyway - the reward card was no trouble to keep in my wallet). I had around $700.00 in reward dollars and around $400.00 in Disney Dollars that I put toward our room charges and then the rest I let go onto the credit card. Yes, I had fun shopping and plan on doing it again on our next trip!!!!
