Hello Eveyone,

On the 23rd of April we are off!! Cant wait.

We have one week on I Drive and on the 1st of May we check into Saratoga Springs.

We are a young couple in our 20's and want to eat out in some nice romantic or differnt Disney Restaurants whilst we are there.

can anyone recommend any from past experience?

if you have the budget, try victoria and alberts:lovestruc
cali grill is lovely, alot of people rave about flying fish...
as you are under your 180 day ADR date, check out the website and see what is available for your stay.

We didn't like Cali Grill but many do.
We loved Le Cellier, will be top of our list for August.

we loved le cellier and chefs de france in epcot, we are both 28

For signature restaurants we like California Grill, Yachtsmans Steakhouse, Artists Point and Jiko. We also like Le Cellier and although not romantic we love Boma.

Thanks everyone,

I understand you can check ADR through the US website?

We booked timeshare through RCI so havent got a "Disney" Reference - will this matter?

Romantic meal would be nice, also something really really different.

We like Artist point and flying fish - both really really good food and both have a nice setting.(also both the boardwalk and the wilderness hotels are nice places to have a walk around after dinner to burn off a bit of food)

If you want something completely differant I would look into Victoria and Alberts - Quite pricey but something you would struggle to find anywhere else.

You do not need a Disney ref to make a booking!

All the above look like really nice romantic dinners,

But for 'different', even though a bit more casual - we tried the Sci-Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios in October and really enjoyed it. We went for lunch and just had burgers (but they were really good) and had a great cocktail list too.

What made it so different is we sat in tables that were like cars - with a big movie screen - set like a drive in.

I'd recommend it here - but some say the 50s prime time is meant to be different and good too

Hi
My DH and me will be there 2 days before you :cool1We're going to try the Wave as looks really different and has some great reviews:)Also Epcots Rose and Crown is good if you can be there for the fireworks food not fantastic but more for the location worth doing :thumbsup2
Have Fun :woohoo:

We have been to Jiko which is lovely and also Nacoossees (cant spell it) is lovely too. They are both signature restaurants so dont know what your budge is regarding this or whether you are on the dining plan?

Also I think the Grand Cafe could be a romantic place for dinner. This is a normal table service restaurant in GF and is lovely. I went with DH in August and felt it was very romantic looking out at the gardens.

We love Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian. If you time it right you can watch the Electric Water Pageant and Wishes from the restaurant. The food is delicious too, last time I had the crab cakes, filet mignon and the almond cheesecake.

Citricos was for us the most romantic of the Signatures we've tried so far and loved it.
Other favourite signatures are Artist Point and Flying Fish.
Le Cellier, also great!
We weren't too keen on the California Grill either, too large, loud and hurried service.

Off site, I always recommend Texas de Brazil. (sign up for their newsletter to get coupons, much better deal that way)

Thank you all for your reply....its all good we are going to look into the options we have... will keep you all posted:)

so many to choose from, we are doing Narcoossees for our wedding aniversary in August, some like californian grill, Jiko good, Sanna we though was also noce looking out on the savannah as the giraffe walked past. V&A alwasy gets 100% postive feedback (as others have said if budget allows). Le Cellier is great but not cheap (unles on the fre DDP :cool1:)

For different there is Whispering Canyon at Wilderness lodge, the servers are very interactive and entertaining, Boma is a african themed and many people like the food (including me :thumbsup2), you could do a charater meal (they are not just for children !), Teppan Edo at Epcot is Japanese, the food is very good and preppared and cooked at your table; at Epcot there are a number of national specific resturants; many like Germany (Biergarten) where everyday is oktoberfest, Also Raglan Road at Downtown disney is hughly praised although we have not yet been.

Hi!

As a few have mentioned, Cali Grill is nice. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere in The Wave, at the Contemporary. We have also had a couple of nice meals at 50's Prime Time - its not romantic but its fun, and good food!

We would recommend Boma, really nice food with some unusual selections, it is a buffet so you can just take a little of anything unfamiliar. A nice atmosphere and smart restaurant. We also enjoyed Ohana at the Poly, great cocktails there!
