This is our fourth year in a row returning to Disney. We have done all the popular must try places during our last 3 visits, some of them repeated 2 and 3 times. I am looking for ideas and suggestions of favorites that might not necessarily be the absolute must eat at places.

We have dined at these places:

Ohana - Breakfast and dinner. We will be dining here for dinner as we are staying at the resort again this year.

1900 Park Fair - Twice
Cinderella's Royal Table - Three times
Le Cellier - Twice
Akershus - Once
Hollywood and Vine - Once (YUCK).
Sci-Fi - Twice
Moma Melrose - Once
San Angel Inn - Three times
Tusker House - Once
California Grill - Twice

Since this is our fourth year in a row returning, we have decided that we want a more relaxing vacation where we aren't planning our day around where we are eating. I am looking for suggestions either sit down, that might not require planning 6 months in advance, or quick service. We have ate at several quick service places in the Magic Kingdom but really not in any of the other parks. I am not looking to plan a place to eat every single day we are there so any info you can share is greatly appreciated. My girls enjoy spending the most time in the Magic Kingdom while hubby and I LOVE Epcot!

We have a few must do's that are not on you list and they are all CS.....

WPE
Earl of Sandwich
Pecos Bills
Sunshine Seasons

WPE is a CS but is every bit as good as most TS.

If you want to not be tied to ADR's then my suggestion would be to do your homework on all the good CS places and stick with that. We stayed last August for 12 days and only had burgers once....and it was by choice.

You can also just call the dining line the day you want an ADR and take what they have available.

Go to Flying Fish....it's a signature so it is a bit expensive....but it is totally worth it....the food is awesome! :thumbsup2

i would suggest Via Napoli in epoct and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the beach club

We have eaten at several of those places as well. If you are planning on visiting DTD, I would suggset Wolfgang Puck Express, Fulton's (if you like seafood), Raglan Rd. There are some great breakfast places that we like, The Wave, Kona, Boma, Grand Floridian Cafe. For lunch or dinner I would suggest Captain's Grille, Jiko, Brown Derby, Kona, Narcoossee's, Via Napoli. Have a great trip!!!

I agree with "thebigman65"! The FF is a MUST do, it is soooo worth the price. We tried it for the 1st time this past October, and we all loved it. FF is now a must DO, for us!

CS: Pecos Bills at the MK, SS at the Land in Epcot, EofS at DTD, AK nothing, DHS Starring Rolls.

TS: FF and BRG at BWI, CG at YC, CDF, R&C, France Bakery, Via Napoli at Epcot, Narcoosees and GFC at GF

We have enjoyed the Epcot quick service restaurants as well as the table service. I want to recommend: Yorkshire County Fish Shop(UK), Liberty Inn(USA), Sunshine Seasons Counter Service(The Land), La Cantina San Angel(Mexico), Yakitori House now called Kakura Grill(Japan).:thumbsup2

Magic Kingdom recommends: Casey's Corner, Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Ray's, Pecos Bill Counter Service.:thumbsup2

I personally prefer the table service restaurants at the Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and not as much the quick service places!!

We loved going to the Contempo Cafe quick service at the Contemporary Resort. We loved ordering our meals on a futuristic computer/kiosk screen.

I have read many reviews on each of these and everyone has very different dining experiences. Some of these restaurant meals have smaller portions some larger. Some taste similiar to what you can get in your home town.

It amazes me that we have only had 3 bad restaurant experiences in 13 years. And we are very picky people! Just don't let a bad review keep you from trying a place that could turn out being one of your favorites.

One negative to picking quick service is the crowds. Just check to see what events are going on at the time of your visit and plan accordingly.

We only eat TS, but we like a few in the parks that aren't on your list.

Epcot: Le Bistro & Les Chefs de France are our favorites in that order. We would eat at any TS in Epcot WS, except Biergarten though. Many people like Biergarten too.

DHS: Hollywood Brown Derby

AK: TH breakfast, but you've already eaten there.

MK: We haven't had a really good meal in MK. CRT is the best, IMO, & you've done that.

To me, most of the better restaurants are at the resorts.

Good Suggestions, but it would be more helpful to newcomers if you could spell out some of the names, rather than just abbreviations

Thank you all for your feedback. There are quite a few on here that I forgot about. Any suggestions on maybe a resort restaurant that would be yummy. We are staying at the Polynesian so of course will be doing O'Hana again. Any resorts places that might be worth trying out. What about Boma? Any opinions???

columbia harbour house, cosmic ray's, cape may, 50's prime time

These would be on my list too. For CS at AK we always go to flame tree barbeque but not yak and yeti take-out (yuck!!!!!)

We love the Pepper Market at CSR -- if you're in the area at the right time for a meal, this is well worth the side-trip.

We love pub style food, so we try to eat at Raglan Road or Cooke's of Dublin during our stay.

Or maybe try Rose and Crown at Epcot?

My family (son is a picky eater) loves:

TS:
Epcot:
Via Napoli - we got in by calling ahead that day (by 2 hours)

Resorts:
Boma - we called just before we were leaving AK and they got us in 40 minutes from then

DTD:
Raglan Road - There was absolutely no wait at lunch

CS:
MK - Columbia Harbor House hands down
EP - Tangeriene Cafe
AK - Flame Tree
HS - no! I would leave and go to Beaches & Cream
