We're going to the Contemp in a few weeks so I'll have to compare the storage then. We thought there was a good amount of storage at the Poly Hawaii longhouse. I'm excited to compare the too.

Ok I am going to be the only one I think who does not like the remodeled Contemporary rooms. Way to contemporary for me. I really do not like them.

I don't like contemporary style either, but I would love to stay there for the location.

Count me in as one who is not crazy about the new CR rooms - toooo contemporary. Did not like the previous design either - too bright and crazy - but loved the one in the late 80's - contemporary, but warm and pretty.

We just stayed at the CR for our honeymoon. I was really excited about the new rooms because I love contemporary decor and I thought they were very pretty. Plus, I LOVED the computers and free internet in the rooms! I have to say, though, that it wasn't very magical (which is a shame to have to say for your honeymoon.) The location is great, the rooms were VERY nice, but it just didn't 'feel' like Disney to us. Plus, there were lots of conventions going on and people were always in the halls in suits and stuff and it just felt really strange. We felt like we were on vacation at the Hilton in some major city, not like we were in WDW.

I know what you mean, but my family has only been to Disney once (we stayed at POFQ) so if I got the chance to go again, I'd be willing to give it a try if my top picks didn't have openings. That's assuming I could afford to stay at a deluxe.

I stayed twice at the Contemporary when I was younger going with my parents. But now that I'm older and married with a child, the Contemporary is the last deluxe I would choose to stay. It's the less Disney magic on property, I think. My husband also thinks it looks like an airport. He says we could stay at MCO for cheaper.... But those rooms do look gorgeous and you can't beat the tower magic kingdom view. Guess I'll just stick to eating at CG.

Thanks, y'all! We're returning to the YC this December, and we're really looking forward to it. My husband is hoping that it's warm enough to try Stormalong Bay (I know they heat the pool, but it's the getting to and from the pool that's the problem, LOL!).

Excuse me for responding to an old post, but I'm just going through this thread for the first time.

How long did the CR rooms look like that? I think I would have had a seizure staying there.
