MGM changed their EMH from 8/27 to 8/28!!! I am so upset. That really messes up my plans for the day. The park will be closing at 8pm that night instead of closing at 10pm regular hours with the EMH added. I called and was told that anyone with dining later that night would be called and rescheduled. I am going to write an e-mail to guest services at guest.mail@wdw.disneyonline.com and ask anyone else affected by the change to do the same.

The photo above is the exact view we had from our Boca Chica Garden View room! It was incredible - we were not upgraded because the front desk CM took us over to show us some rooms that would be available - this one was ready so we took it in a heartbeat, but she kept encourging us to see the other rooms that would be available after housekeeping finished. Can only imagine what those views would have been like because they were next door to this room :) I do think an upgrade would have been possible as one of the rooms was a corner room with 2 balconies, but we were delighted with this one. :)

Anyway, she specficially told me that this room was considered a Garden View - this was because this view was sort of to our right, and directly in front of us was the roof of Narcoossee's. Even around the roof we could see the monorail gliding by in the distance. I think without the roof blocking the view it would have been a Castle view.

I'd take this room any day!

Wow what a great view!!! I looove the picture with the monorail going by. Where is this Boca Chica Garden View room?

where did you find this???? We just confirmed our dinner ressie's yesterday, and no one said anything. I have not seen where ther is a change....please, please let me know. (we have 50's prime time at 8:50)

(although,,you don't have to be too upset, they may comp you something,,we just found out yesterday, that our japanese ressies needed to be changed, and we got le cellier, and illuminations priority seating as a comp....they offered, we didn't ask.)

When did they do this? I just checked the website this week for the hours - this really messes up us crazy planners!!!

Here's where you will find it. MGM 8/28.

It doesn't affect me as far as our dining is concerned. We have an 11:30am reservation for 50's. I have been trying since April to get a dinner there and as early as a few days ago, they told me that all they had was after 10pm!! Good thing I didn't change it. There are going to be so many displaced diners(think of all the restaurants there) I can't see them comping everyone.

I am upset because I was looking forward to a long day there with no rushing to get everything done. Now we probably won't have time to eat our CS meal there before we have to go to Fantasmic. We planned on going to the 10pm show. There's a big difference between closing at 12 or 1am and closing at 8pm. I wished they would have at least stayed open to 10pm.

It is at the very end of Boca Chica - near Narcoossee's. It is the last room on the "garden" end - really, it was wonderful! I sat on the balcony with my chair sideways (instead of facing foward) and had that exact view...if sitting striaght ahead, it was the roof, but on both sides the lagoon and monorail gliding by in the distance. A bit of a hike from the main building, but soooo worth it!

If you want,I'll try to find the room number. It is packed becasue of our move, but pretty sure I know which box. :flower: Not a dormer room, but the floor under that..maybe 3rd floor?

Yup - I just double checked with Disney Dining and they confirmed it. MGM is open on the 28th emh until 1am. I am guessing because it is the same night as the pirate: &princess: Party at MK.
We usually try to stay away from the emh park. But it would mess up our plans to move everthing around at this point. We were planning to be at MGM from opening until our 6pm dinner at 50sPT and then leave. Do you think we should be fine?

at least this was one of our (where ever we want to go days) i tried gearing our dinner ressies along with the extra magic hrs.......so now back to square one...:headache:
