Wow... I just checked a room rate for AP and it's higher than my current room ressie with AAA rate. Does that sound right?

For some reason I thought AP will always be cheaper than AAA? :confused3

It ususally is. However, there may not be any AP rooms available at the resort/time that you are traveling. AAA rates are ususally in the range of 10%-20% off of the rack rate. AP rates are generally more generous than that.

I agree with Lisa, we've found ap rates hover ~ 30-40% but many times they may not be available at our first choice. We are very flexible so that's not a big problem for us. We'll go where the discount puts us.
I've never done AAA do they give room only discounts? or is it for a package

Well the funny thing is they are available for the dates I needed:
AS Music/Movies: AAA rate pref $85 vs. AP rate standard $92

I thought that was weird.
That the standard rate is way higher than the AAA pref rate.

Yes, AAA does room only discounts.

update:
I called in again and they said AS Sp pref AP rate: $85.89
Apparently the person I talked to yesterday didn't give me the right rate.
But still the AAA and AP rate is still about the same then.
How odd...
