I was not able to search, so sorry if this has been asked recently. Anyhow, I think I read on these boards before that there was a way to book your travel through WDW and then transfer ressie to AAA for discount. Is this correct? We won a trip to WDW and they used WDW travel to book. The company sponsering this paid $xxxx. Anything over this, I have to pay. My portion for a family of 5, 7 nights is $1200 (including airfare). This is great, but I know I could get a better deal through AAA.

Please advise.

I did.

I booked through Disney, then changed to AAA.

Call AAA and see what they say.

How wonderful for you to WIN the trip!!! Where are you staying?

Thanks! We are staying at POR. We looked at Poly, but decided to maximize our trip and stay for 7 nights with dining, park hoppers, etc.

I can't wait to call AAA on Monday.

You should have no trouble switching to AAA. Be prepared to sign a quick transfer release and then the agent can fax that to Disney to take over the booking.

Congrats on your win! :)

What is the typical package discount offered from AAA on a moderate package?

It varies by travel dates. Sometimes it's 10% off the room portion, but it can go as high as 20% off the room portion during Value Season.
