Disney Quick Service Dining Plan Exclusions

I have an app on my iphone that shows the menus for each park at Disney World, called Disney's Magic Guide. The app has the name of each dining location, shows whether it is quick service or table service, and gives the price and menu. One thing I'm concerned about is, on the app it has a place below the name of the restaurant that shows DDP, TiW, Annual Pass, and DVC (Disney Dining Plan, Tables in Wonderland, Annual Pass, and Disney Vacation club respectively). The part that concerns me is of all of the Quick Service Locations, according to this app anyway, only about half of them are on the Dining Plan.

I'm going to give you an example from Main Street in Magic Kingdom:

These restaurants show that they participate in the dining plan:
Casey's Corner, The Crystal Palace, The Plaza Restaurant, and Tony's Town Square restaurant.

These do not have the DDP Symbol:
Main St Bakery and Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

Does anyone know if the two that do not show the symbol DO participate in the plan? I'm just wondering if there are any known Quick Service Locations that are excluded in the dining plan. It would be frustrating to have the plan and not be able to make use of it in all of the QSL restaurants.

Thanks!

Incorrect, Main Street Bakery does participate in the plan.

Plaza Ice Cream does not sell meals and would only take snack credits. I think they will take them for smaller items.

I'm not familiar with the app, but Nala is correct that you can use CS credits at Main Street Bakery. You can use snack credits at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, but it is not a CS venue (no entrees). If the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is an indication, the app might be including places where you can use snack credits, but not CS credits, as CS venues.

Here's a link to the dining plans which list CS and TS places. The plans for next year only list Disney owned places. The third party venues are still negotiating their contracts so the lists won't be finalized until December. The 2013 restaurant lists, however, are current:

Here are 2 sites with menus that you can compare with the app. On some of the menus there will be the purple DDP logo which indicates the item can be purchased with a snack credit:

Sleepy Hollow is another in the MK that accepts snack credits, but not meal items. I can promise you, you will find PLENTY of CS to eat at!! :)

Thanks for the input. We're aiming for a vacation time where we're hoping they will offer the QSDP for free. We're planning on September of 2014, so hopefully history will repeat itself and we'll luck out. We've never bothered using any DP before, just paid as we went, but if it's free why not use it?

When they offer the free DP they often offer a 30% (or similar) discount on room only at the same time and you have to choose between the two discounts. Depending on where you stay, and how many people are in the room, the % off might be a better deal.
