That picture is hysterical! I would love to hear the story behind that one.
Priceless!
Sorry. I just didn't want to offend anyone. It was definitely their looks. Their attitudes and acting were fine. Rupunzel looked nothing, and I mean, nothing like Tupunzel.
Yeah, I hate when they have fake Tupunzels! (J/K btw).![]()
I blame FP+.![]()

Was it wrong that I literally laughed out loud?
Maybe some cast members will have some info to share.
After I watched the Mine Train youTube video a couple weeks ago I was sucked into the YouTube Disney video vortex. From there, I saw the two young women who make the "confessions of a retired Disney Princess" videos. They discussed their audition processes at length. Granted, this was a few years ago, so I'd say if you saw Princesses that didn't look princessy, then something has changed for sure!
I used to think the princesses were just pulled from the college program participants, but these young ladies made it sound like multiple rounds of auditioning for the roles along with many girls. And it's not like they were going into a show. They both ended up working at the Akershus restaurant.
Ok. So my wife and I noticed something on our recent trip. Although we had a nice vacation, Disney is certainly slipping. I do not want to go on a negative rant because it is my choice and I keep on going back, so something's working for us, but more and more we are seeing quality declining. One area seemed to be the princess face characters. I know that the princess dinners sometimes do not get the A-1 face characters, but when you get a FP for a Rupunzel meet, you are expecting A-1 princess...um, not the case. When my daughter asks, after the meet, who was that? I would say there may be an issue. We experienced some, well very un-princess-like face characters at the meets. A terrible, and I mean terrible, Rupunzel, a very bad Ariel, a very poor Snow White, and even a bad Jasmine. I don't want to go into detail about flaws, but let's just say I know, for a fact, that there are many young woman with the attributes to play these characters, and it really is a shame that Disney is allowing just about anyone to play theses parts. Maybe we just had a poor draw, but I was wondering if anyone else's had noticed? On a positive, Cinderella and Alice were amazing and spot on!
I totally get what you mean and was actually just talking about this in another post! I love to meet the princesses and we definitely got the "C list" during our trip in Jan. My husband and I had a running joke between us after each princess we met on just how bad they look! They used to be pretty spot on too!We saw a good Belle and a good Alice - the rest were terrible! There was one Snow White we met twice and she had the most annoying voice ever!
