Disney Princess Lingerie

Totally depends on who is wearing it. Some clothing is more of a privilege then a right if you know what I mean.

Totally depends on who is saying it. Some brains are more of a privilege than a right, if you know what I mean.

Not even close to being the weirdest thing they make in Japan. :lmao:

I know, eh? :rotfl2:

Oh the memories. :goodvibes

My personal favourites of my time there were the - clearing my throat - ;) Love hotels, the porno cards all over the ground in drinking districts and underwear in vending machines. :thumbsup2

Some clothing just doesn't look good on certain body types. Margot Robbie wearing the stuff in the OP = hot. Some other people = not so much.

In my opinion of course.

So what are you trying to say? These are underwear and something meant to wear under the outfit. Of course, only the person wearing this set could really know if it looked good on them or not. Margot Robbie (whoever that is) may look hot wearing it and for other women who are not her, it could look good as well.

While it's obviously underwear for adults the style is a weird mixture of kiddy and old women underwear, I don't even know how to describe it properly. My husband would be creeped out and I wouldn't be comfortable either.

And, no, my body isn't the problem, my adult and yet modern personality rejects this lingerie

I think this lingerie is more about putting them on for a partner then wearing them as underwear meaning they would be the only thing you are wearing and it would be for the benefit of someone else.

Perhaps there are people who would wear it as actual underwear but it seems like an odd choice to do that. :confused3

Not really, a woman could put on lingerie or (in this strange case of Disney princess stuff) for herself for other reasons. The set right here looks like it can be worn under clothes and some women may think its just pretty for everyday use. Even though it is called lingerie, this just looks like a normal bra and panty set and women can't go around in plain bras all the time. I mean, when you go underwear shopping, don't you buy a pretty bra and panty set?

Not my thing at all, but Japan does seem to have a cultural thing for dressing grown women in little girl outfits more often than most places would be comfortable with, so it is kind of fitting for the location.

I will call a spade a spade. You are saying that a thin, well toned woman would look hot in this and that an overweight one should not have the privilege of wearing things that show her body.

Your disdain for the overweight and out of shape is well known on this board. Me? I could care less if that is your type or not. I think it is FINE that you are only attracted to those who are physically fit and thin and I even understand your often stated point about how that says something about their personality and what they like to do, etc as well. Nonetheless, I think it i horrible to take that to the point of saying others have not earned the right to wear sexy clothing if they do not have the body YOU prefer. That moves past "she is not my type" and into "she is bad ans should be no one's type" even though there are people who find all kinds of body types and personalities attractive. It is really condescending and rude to criticize everyone who isn't your type.

I think you are taking my quote a little to literally. It's a paraphrase on a movie quote:

"Spandex: it's a privilege, not a right" (Hackers 1995)

I've heard one version or another used quite often when someone is talking about dressing for a body type.

I suspect most people being honest would think it looks good on some people and not on others. That is my opinion at least. Yours may be different and that is fine.

So what DID your comment mean then?

You were partially right. My personal opinion is that it would be hot on someone I find attractive and not so much on someone who I don't...which I suspect is true for most men.

I didn't mean anyone I personally don't find attractive should be barred from wearing it or that someone else might find it attractive on someone I personally don't. That is the part you took a little too literally.

I'm not sure why people take it so personal. There are plenty of things I wouldn't wear because they don't look right on me. No big deal.

I think pretty much everyone assumes, that when looking at lingerie, you would only be talking about yourself or someone you are attracted to/involved with wearing it. No one else felt the need to get jabs in at others though and specify that only THEIR type would look good in it. You really do seem to try to work those jabs in often and I think it rubs people the wrong way (understandably).

I mean, really, WHY did you feel that qualification was necessary to your response? :confused3

GRANNY PANTIES?!

Disney-themed or not, THEY HAVE GOT TO GO.

</media-inspired male chauvinism>

This was my first though! I thought the bottom two were ok but for the underwear, way too much back for it to be considered sexy in my book.
