Yeckim,
Your pictures are always so beautiful. Could you please tell us about your camera (i.e., brand, what kind/model, are you shooting automatically or with manually setting the camera)?
Thanks!
Dcanoli...
You are very kind to say so. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my week of WDW photography. First time was in 1974, with an Instamatic 104 camera and Ektachrome slide film. I still have the slides and most are awful, but still cherished memories. I was 20 at the time, so do the math and you can see that I'm a feeble old geezer now.
Anyway, to your questions... My camera, which is my first digital (if you don't count digital stills made with my camcorder), is a Fujifilm Finepix S5200, which is 5MP and has a 10X (38-380mm in 35mm film terms) zoom lens. I shot most of the pix here in Program and Aperture Preferred mode, if memory serves, with a few in manual. I tried to keep my ISO at 200 or below, to minimize noise, and to keep the shutter speed as high as possible to minimize camera motion (shake). IMO, the images the S5200 produces out-of-camera are a little on the soft side, so most (all?) of mine posted on dis are sharpened in Picasa, which is probably not the very best method but, in addition to being long in the tooth, I'm also notoriously cheap (Picasa is free d/l). The S5200 offers three "color" modes: normal, black and white, and chrome. I have mine set to chrome, and all of my shots you see on these boards are in the chrome mode, which gives more vivid colors.
Ths S5200 requires, IMO, a little more time/effort to learn to use properly, but the results are pretty decent for a $225 point and shoot camera. In fact, I'm in the process of evaluating several entry level dSLR's for possible purchase, and every time I see pix from Nikon D50's, Sony Alpha's and so on, I ask myself if I'm nuts to spend that kind of $$$ when I can get pretty decent results from my little Fuji.
Hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to ask any others, here, or via PM.
