Have just seen this on the DIBB .... the code is 9VISARD15 and it can be used on the pre-purchase photopass website. I've just done a dummy booking and you get a further 15% discount - so the price works out $85

Wasnt going to get this - but now the exchange rate has improved I might treat myself and not tell my DF until we get there hehe!

UPDATE -Just read this code expires on the 15th June !

Yes it does - I've seen posts on the Dibb that it worked I've just bought my cd for $84.96 with free international shipping

I have pre-ordered the Photopass before on a previous trip, but that was 4 months out from our leaving date.

Anyone know how soon it can be pre-ordered? We're only back there next year.

Don't worry about not knowing - that's what the site is here for, to pick up tips and learn new things!

Photopass can be found here: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/

You'll find information there, but in a nutshell, Photopass is a 'free' selection of pictures that Disney offer through-out their parks. They have photographers in and around the parks who you can pass a 'credit card' type pass to and they'll scan it and then take a picture of you and your family.

It'll then be stored on your card for viewing and purchase once you're back home. You can pre-order the photopass CD before you leave, which then once you're home you can add boarders and icons to your pictures and then send off for your CD from Disney.

It does cost though, and you'll find the prices on the website above. They offer many different options on what you can buy.

There is a 60 day limit from when you pre-order until you order it in full - I'm 35 days out from my trip so not sure whether to leave it a few days.....any info on how long this code is around for??

No idea - thats why I have done mine now - its meant for disney visa card users but anyone can use so I don't think it will be around for long. From what I have read on the DIS and DIBB - the 60 day limit doesn't apply and you can still activate the code they give you - others have emailed photopass and it seems to be ok? If not I shall just ask for my money back after the holiday!

I'm sure everyone will stand for the pictures!

They do 'special' pictures too, so watch out for those! And don't forget, even though you've ordered photopass, make sure you pass your own camera over to the CM also, as you get double the shots then and a back up if the photopass one isn't the best!

Oh and don't loose the 'credit cards' they give to you, these have unique numbers on the reverse of them which you'll need to enter into the website on your return. A little tip I picked up from on the DIS, take a photo of the number on your card, using your own camera, then if it is unfortunate that you do loose a card, you'll still have the code once home to retrieve your photos!! You can pick up another card from the photopass CM if you need too, as you can enter more than one code on the website!

No unfortunetly it can't from what I have read there have been talks about installing it, but for the moment the photographers on board use a different system.

I thought that the shipping was $17 to UK?? or have they changed this again - it as changed around Feb time so that you had to pay shipping?

Just ordered my CD and book.

The invoice shows free international shipping as all you are ordering at this time is a pre-paid code for future use. You just get an email confirmation - don't lose it!

When you come to upload the photos and order the product, the shipping will be noted then depending on what products you order.

No I got shipping for free - I've purchased mine and international shipping came up free

Yes the pre-order will show international shipping as being free but when you go back to order th actual CD after you holidya you will be charged $17 shipping. TBH I think $17 shipping is a bit steep!

I pre-ordered my photo pass 0n the 1st sept 2008, i have I emailed Disney the other week to see if my code was still valid as we don't go until sept this year.

I have now ordered this one with the photobook and intend to use my code from last year next April so i will need to email the next march to get it reset.

Disney will not keep your money if you go after 180 days you will need to email them a few weeks before you go.
