Disney Photopass Discount Code

I'm sure everyone will stand for the pictures!

They do 'special' pictures too, so watch out for those! And don't forget, even though you've ordered photopass, make sure you pass your own camera over to the CM also, as you get double the shots then and a back up if the photopass one isn't the best! :thumbsup2

Oh and don't loose the 'credit cards' they give to you, these have unique numbers on the reverse of them which you'll need to enter into the website on your return. A little tip I picked up from on the DIS, take a photo of the number on your card, using your own camera, then if it is unfortunate that you do loose a card, you'll still have the code once home to retrieve your photos!! :goodvibes You can pick up another card from the photopass CM if you need too, as you can enter more than one code on the website!
Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

another great trip is to get the waterpark cards as they are like a bracelet
I gave it to my youngest DS to look after so that way he stopped at every photopass person we seen and got some really good photos for him
otherwise he would not have even smiled at the camera

took a photo of the pass but it never left it behind him

this is the second time we have done the pre order with free shipping
can't remember if I had to pay for the postage when I ordered the photos but do remember that the code was Fedex to us with in a few days of ordering which I was surprized as we got the e mail with the code straigh away after ordering :confused3

Didn't order the photobook this time as all the layouts at the same
wish they would change them abit

I pre-ordered my photo pass 0n the 1st sept 2008, i have I emailed Disney the other week to see if my code was still valid as we don't go until sept this year.

This is the response.

I have now ordered this one with the photobook and intend to use my code from last year next April so i will need to email the next march to get it reset.

Disney will not keep your money if you go after 180 days you will need to email them a few weeks before you go.

thanks for this so I have 180 days from ordering to use the code? I am going and coming in less than that - so I should be ok?

Anyone know how soon it can be pre-ordered? We're only back there next year.

From what I have read on the DIS and DIBB - the 60 day limit doesn't apply and you can still activate the code they give you - others have emailed photopass and it seems to be ok? If not I shall just ask for my money back after the holiday!

The codes are only valid for 60 days from ordering now. However, I had an unused code that I'd purchased last year, and managed to get that re-set last month with no problems. :thumbsup2

TBH I think $17 shipping is a bit steep!

I actually think $17 is not too bad since they use a courier and I received my CD within 4 days of placing my order. :hippie:

I'd advise waiting until you are back home again. The PhotoPass CM I spoke to was very helpful and did reset my code, but he advised that it would only be good for a further 7 days. ;)

I'm more than 180 days out so fingers crossed the code remains valid for a bit longer.

If you've already got your code, it has probably already expired. I guess you won't know for sure until you try to use it though. :upsidedow If it has expired, just contact the nice folks at PhotoPass, I'm sure they'll sort it out. :goodvibes

I meant I hope the promotion codes stays valid, i've not booked it yet.

Well, I'm not sure how long the Visa discount code will be around for, but the "pre-order for $99" deal has been around for at least 18 months. :hippie:

Great thanks for that! I might just email them to check!

I used the photopass service for the first time last month and thought it was fantastic :thumbsup2.I did my pre-order at just under the 60day limit(as i too was worried about this 60day limit). We got a total of 484pics,then when i got home and added my borders, resized them+done some black+white pics i ended up with 1,136 pictures on 3 cd's :thumbsup2.
If you pre-order using the original code for pre-order+free delivery(as this new code mentioned on page 1 was'nt around when i done mine),you DO NOT get charged for shipping-it does come up free when you order+enter your promotion code at checkout :thumbsup2.x.

Just to confirm that when you use this code you will be charged for shipping when you actually order the CD.

I have just ordered mine and used my pre pay code and had to pay the extra
$17 for international shipping.

So doesn't that make it better value not to use this code, and just do the $99 deal then? :confused3

All CD's seem to have shipping added on when photos are ordered so using the code will still be cheaper but there is an additional $17 to factor in!

I pre-ordered mine with the photo book and didn't get charged anything for international shipping.

When i pre-ordered my cd back in Jan this new code was'nt available,i just used the normal link that everyone knew of which took me to the pre-order page to get the cd for $99 INCLUDING p+p.This was still the case when i returned and ONLY ordered my CD last week.P+P is free, but it apparantly IS'NT if you order using this new code.(hope i have made sense).
So YES,if my calculations are right i think it IS'NT value for money using this 15% code.x.

My understanding is that if you ordered the pre-order before Feb, then shipping was included.

After Feb 09 then it is added on. With that in mind, this discount code would help offset the additional cost of shipping....does that make sense?

That's what I was trying to say!!

I just read on the Photopass site that the normal price will increase from $129.95 to $149.95 on June 16! My guess would be that the pre-purchase price will also increase then, so this is a good deal with or without free international shipping :thumbsup2.
That just convinced me to pre-purchase now, while the price is still lower and the code still works. If the normal price doesn't increase there, I might buy it on-site and get a refund for this when we get back. Without this 15% code that is exactly what I was planning to do. Between the $17 shipping charge, the free prints you get on-site and the risk of customs charges when it gets mailed, pre-purchasing just didn't seem worth it before this code came along.

Thanks for the info - at least the price difference won't be such a shock when I order my next PhotoPass CD! :thumbsup2

Just remember that if you buy your CD while you're in WDW, you won't be able to edit your photos - crop/add borders, etc - that can only be done online before you place your actual order. ;)

And, for what it's worth, we've been using PhotoPass since it began and I have never had to pay a customs or import charge. :hippie:
