Disney Parks Moms Panel 2015

Congratulations to everyone going to Round 2 - especially those getting there for the first time! That was me last year, and I remember how in disbelief I was to see a "Congratulations!" in the first line of the e-mail after so many years of never moving forward. There was a part of me that was sure it had to be a fluke, or some type of dumb luck, so I was once again caught off-guard to see I made it back to Round 2 this year. I actually don't think I've fully processed the e-mail yet, haha, but I'm sure I'll be checking it repeatedly over the weekend to make sure I didn't just imagine that it was there!

Wow! I seem to be going backwards! I have made it to R2 4 times and once to R3, but evidently I'm out this year.

Best Wishes to all those moving on, especially all you former R3ers, and SUPER-especially all those who have been to R3 multiple times. I know first hand that the sting hurts the closer you get, so I am rooting for all of you!!

Huge congrats to everyone moving onto Round 2! I'm super excited to be joining all of you!

If this is not your year, please don't give up! This is my 5th time applying, and my 5th time in Round 2. And I'm not giving up any time soon!

Congrats to all who made it. I received my rejection email won't be able to apply next year either since I won't have visited in the previous 12 months...last trip was July and next isn't until next November. It was fun hoping. Good luck to all from here on out!

Congratulations to everyone moving on to R2. Even though I had a FastPass this year, I can breathe a sigh of relief that the R2 process will begin.

To those of you who are not advancing this year, let me encourage you to continue to apply every year that you are eligible. I have applied every year since 2009 and got the less than magical email every year until last year. Do not give up on your dreams. You may just stop 3 feet before you find the gold. It took my daughter 6 years to win the title of Miss Ohio and walk the runway on Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

I cannot tell you how many wonderful friends I have makeover the years both on and off the panel. Your passion for Disney will keep you going until it's your time.

Aw man, don't feel like a loser! I think there are probably certain things they are looking for (in addition to the obvious things, like being able to communicate accurately and efficiently, etc) and since they don't make those criteria clear, there is seriously no telling why you (and I!) didn't make it through. Wrong hair color, wrong area of the country, wrong age range, etc etc. There's just no way to know what tiny little thing may have bumped you from the list, and you would drive yourself nutty trying to figure it out.

I am not going to lie, I'm a little bummed not to advance, but please definitely do NOT feel like a loser or take it personally! You are lovely and full of the Disney spirit!

We will probably not make a qualifying trip for next year's panel so I think I'm probably one and done. Oh well! Life goes on. Best of luck to those advancing!
