When my DH2B went in 2000 he made me a cd somewhere in epcot with music from WDW on it (Fantasmic, Illuminations, Character Grove music, etc). He can't remember where he did this and I didn't think about it when I went 2 years ago. Can you still do this? I'd love to make one for my mom with Specro music on it b/c she really wishes she could go with us. Anyone know where and how much??

Thanks.

I'm not sure about that but I too have been searching everywhere for a CD that has nothing but park attraction music on it. Way back when, I had a cassett tape with all that on it (one side MK one side Epcot) but that was when Motion, Horizons, etc. and all that was still running. I played it so much the tape finally tore. Too bad I didn't copy it to a CD before that because it doesn't look like they are gonna ever make another one. I have all kinds of Disney music CD's but they mostly have music from the animated movies and only a couple from the park. I think it would really be a good thing if they would just record all the rides and attractions and put them on tape! I will keep my fingers crossed!

I saw a CD at the World of Disney store in DD that had music from all the parks. Not sure if it had specific attraction music on it. Hope this helps!

I too love the attraction music!!

There used to be a shop in Downtown Disney that would allow you to custom make cds with music from the parks, and it was listed in Birnbaums's book as recently as this year. It's called Studio M, but, unfortunately, they no longer offer the cds. I asked when we visited in March and was told they no longer sell them. I could have been misinformed by the CM, but I was very disappointed, so if anyone has conflicting info, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share!!! :D

The good news, however, is that they do sell a cd entitled "Where Magic Lives" with WDW attraction music on it. I love my copy, except that there's no Spectro track on it. I know when I bought it (actually IN the Magic Kingdom, though I believe I've seen them at Main Street Megastore online), they also had the soundtrack cds for other shows - Fantasmic!, Fantasy in the Sky....SpectroMagic may have been one of them. I would maybe give WDW a call or visit Main Street Megastore - perhaps they can give you the definitive info!!

PS - P'Cola, I had the same Music From the Parks tape, only we bought our copy in Disneyland!! Those songs still stick with me a decade later...scary that I remember Magic Journeys!! And EPCOT - my traveling buddies always think I'm nuts to be able to sing "Makin' Memories" everytime we take a picture and "It's Fun to Be Free" the CLASSIC "One Little Spark". :D

I've never seen a place where you can make a CD - but I do know that you can buy them! They have several CDs for different park music - One has Illuminations, and lots of ride music; there is a separate one just for Spectro, one for the music of the AK. Just check any of the bigger gift shops. You can also get them online at

http://www.mainstreetmegastore.com/cat_theme_park_cds.cfm

but you are going to pay a few dollars more for them.

Okay- I just checked out the prices at that site for CDs- and they are about TWICE as much as if you buy them in the parks...I guess it depends on how badly and how soon you NEED them.

Wow, you would think if this many people were interested you could run down to the disney store to find them. ??? I am definitely going to try some of these suggested places, thanks guys. Another thing I love is my Disney explorer interactive CD that I play on my computer. It is just the coolest thing. However, the latest one that I have (second edition) has AK on it but it had just opened so the attractions are just sketches, not the real thing. I would really like for them to come out with an updated version of this too. Whenever I miss being there I just put that CD in and it is lots of fun!

fantasmic303, that is too cool that you had the same tape. When I would play that in the car my husband would point to the car beside us and ask me "what do you think the chances are that they are listening to this tape?" Then we would just laugh. :D

I guess they must have gotten rid of the one in epcot too then if Studio M is gone. I was looking forward to making a custom cd for my mom :( I'll still check around while i'm there just in case.

When we were there last year we bought Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating 100 Years of Magic . We loved that CD. All our favorites were on there. Listened to it all year and now that we are going back we went to dig it out and it's gone!! We bought a new CD player and we think when we tossed the old one....yes, we left it in there! Well someone suggested to us to try www.disney.com/DisneyRecords (I have not tried this yet) for a complete listing of CDs. We are going to wait the 19 Days 20 Hrs 36 Mins 19 Secs we have left and go to Mousegears in Epcot and pray they have another, but you may want to try.

The Walt Disney World Forever kiosks where you could burn your own cd are all gone. There were several around the property, but sadly, none remain. There is an Official CD of WDW, and a seperate Spectro cd which should be available at shops all over the property including the resorts.

We have the Illuminations, Spectromagic, and Candlelight Processional CD's that we bought last year in the park - both Epcot ones were about $20, while the Spectro was much less - $12, I think. The Spectro CD has nothing else on it, however.

We also have Disney Theme Park Music - we bought this at Wal-Mart in the Electronics Dept on the book/tape rack. It was a CD/Cassette combo - I think around $8!! It has all the old rides - Grim, Grinning Ghosts, Small World, Yo Ho, Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Zip a Dee Doo Dah, etc.

This and the Illuminations ones are my favorites! They bring back the park like nothing else!

I think I remember there being a kiosk to make a custom CD of Disney music at the exit to the Journey into Imagination with Figment attraction at EPCOT. Does anyone else recall this? It was last fall, though, so it may no longer be there. I hope this helps!!:D

Try eBay for the CDs. Last time I checked there were dozens selling the "100 years" CD.

Also, if you're looking for a Disney park "hit" while sitting at your PC, check out www.live365.com. It's an Internet radio portal, and there are quite a few channels dedicated to Disney park tunes. I have 5 different channels bookmarked myself. :)

Jhorion - I'll be sure to check at the exit of Figment next week. There's no harm in seeing if the kiosk is still there.

Thanks everyone for all the regular cd suggestions. I'm still gonna try and find a custom cd stand but at least I have some options if I can't find one.

honeymo78-save yourself a trip, I'm afraid. The CD kiosks at the exit of Figment are gone. I loved getting them, and got one there in 2001. So I looked forward to getting another one in 2002. Unfortunately, the CM told me they'd been taken out a few days before because of so many malfunctions. He was surprised-apparently the CMs weren't given any warning. Ironically, when I got mine in 2001, there was a mistake in it, they had to redo it and it took almost an hour extra, so the CM had comped me an 8X10 picture for the added wait. Very nice of him! But I missed the CDs when they took them out.
