Here is our tree. It is too big to do Disney only, but this year or next I hope to do a smaller Disney only tree in our basement.

There are many Disney ornaments on our tree not all from WDW or DL. Though we add to our Disney collection everytime we visit. Hallmark also does some really cute Disney ornaments....

Here are a couple more.
We also get the dated WDW ornament each year, but I don't seam to have a picture of any of them. I think we have 1999 though the present year. Here is a different WDW one I had to get too.

The past couple of years my mom has started getting me a set of Disney Storybook ornaments for Christmas. Last year in August when we were at WDW I saw this set and took a pick of it to "hint" to my mom this was the set I would like. Well guess what it is a park exclusive and we couldn't find it anywhere, not even eBay. My Dad happened to travel to Orlando on business and my mom remembered and sent the picture with him. He stopped by DTD and got it for me!

we usually buy 2 or 3 every time we go but last year we didn't get there so i bought a bunch of christmas stuff online. got the stocking holder, ornaments and a tree skirt.

my daughter was only 1 year old at the time and pulled the ear off of my fav. ornament. we went to the depot store to get something that will stick it on and while i was standing there with the ear in my hand my dd picked up the head part from the cart and threw it on the floor.

needless to say i put back the glue i was holding in my hand, gave a horrified laugh and left.

when we go next year I want to get a whole bunch - there's just too many i love to only get one or two each trip.

we're planning on having an entire tree down stairs dedicated to disney. There's always room for D-I-S-N-E-Y.

here are some of the ones i love from the photo section of this board - don't know who took them

(side note - as i'm posting these pictures i'm quickly adding up the cost - i think i need to take a second job just to pay for these LOL)

On my WDW trip, my sister and I both picked out an ornament. The same year, we both got many Disney ornaments from Hallmark on Christmas Eve. :D

Don't forget to visit the Ten and Under Store in DTD, they also have Christmas decorations. Alot of the times they are in the 4 for $10 area.

I got these in December during our trip and they were my favorite ornaments! I like that Spaceship Earth still has the hand/wand!

The hand/wand is the reason I wanted that set. Since when we were there the last time they were in the process of thanking it down. It was now or never, if I wanted one with it. Not that I will miss the hand, I like it o'natural, but I also didn't mind it either.

I usually get at least a few Christmas ornaments each trip. we leave in 16 days for a trip and can't wait to pick one out this year. I have to ask what is a pickle from Germany? Is is a Christmas ornament? What is the story behind it?

Sorry never heard of this:confused3

these are great, do you remember what it cost to get these and personalize them?

Actually we went to Disney with my mom and dad that year and they bought those for the boys, so I didn't pay for them. I have no clue. Sorry.

Here is what I found on the internet and it is the same thing that I was always told...

Revive an old-world custom on your own Christmas tree. The pickle ornament was considered a special decoration by many families during Victorian times in Europe and the United States. The tree was traditionally decorated on Christmas Eve. For good luck the pickle was always the last ornament to be hung on the tree by the parents after the children went to bed. When the children were allowed to view the tree the next morning, the child finding the pickle would receive an extra little gift left by Svaty Mikulas (St. Nicholas).

And this goes a little deeper into the history...

The pickle ornament has been a Christmas tradition for over one hundred years. When people first started decorating a Christmas tree to celebrate the Christmas holiday they used whatever they had to decorate their Christmas tree. This included food that they had around the house.

Many Christmas trees were decorated with foods like popcorn, baked goods, fruits and vegetables. Apples and oranges were carefully placed on the trees branches and as the Christmas celebration took off the food was taken off of the Christmas tree and enjoyed. It was a part of the Christmas celebration to take the food off of the Christmas tree and eat it.

Christmas trees were decorated with many different types of foods in many colors to make a tree colorful and lively. Cookies were hung on the Christmas tree with string and popcorn was strung and hung on the branches of the Christmas tree. Orange, red and green foods were scattered in the branches of Christmas trees to make the Christmas tree lovely and pretty.

Pickles were good to use as a Christmas tree decoration. A pickle is shiny and easy to hang on a tree. A pickle is something just about everyone has on hand and pickles do not spoil fast as they hung on the branches of the Christmas tree so they were a popular food to place in Christmas trees.

Many families placed one pickle in the tree. Someone would hide the pickle and everyone else would look and see if they could find the pickle before anyone else did. Whoever found the pickle first would get a prize. The prize could be something expensive wrapped in a pretty package or it could be as simple as being the first person to pick a food off of the Christmas tree.

Today many families still celebrate the tradition of the Christmas pickle. Most families do not use a real pickle. Instead they buy a pickle ornament made of glass or plastic. It is nice to have the option of being able to use a pickle ornament that can be used year after year and will not spoil. Even though the pickle is not real the tradition is still the same. The pickle is hidden and whoever finds the pickle gets a prize.

Precious Moments has a few Disney ornaments...they're kind of expensive, but soooo cute!!! And like someone else said, Hallmark has lots of Disney ornaments too. So you can get some without even going to WDW!

These are a couple mini ornaments from Hallmark last year...

I love this thread! I have had a Disney tree (in addition to our regular tree) for the past 5 years, and it keeps getting bigger and bigger. It started out as a 3 ft table top tree, now it's a 6 foot tree, and I have to get a bigger one for this year. I love the Disney Hallmark ornaments, and everything from Disney World. My new favorites are the Christopher Radco Disney ornaments sold at the Christmas store in DTD.

Oh, I forgot about that one... We got a Christopher Radko ornament on our Disney Honeymoon cruise. It is the ship and I love it! I don't think I have a picture of it though. It is usually hung closer to the top of the tree to keep it away from the wagging dog tails and little hands. I will have to remember to take a picture of it this year.

We got the ornament with our on board winnings credit! DH won the $450 on board credit prize at Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer/Millionaire game. He was two questions away from winning the free cruise and backed out because he wasn't sure he had the answer right. Come to find out he would have had it right and the last question was one he knew right off the bat...so we would have won. Oh well! We then had $450 to spend in 2 days because the charge your purchases up until that point to your CC and then we won. So we splurged on things we normally wouldn't have bought. I think the ornament was $65 at the time.

Here is my Disney tree from this past Christmas. I plan on doing it every year. It really made things so much more fun. :goodvibes

The hands sticking out of the tree are too cute!! I'll have to see if I have any pictures of my tree...

WOW! Great trees.....is it Christmas yet? We go to Disney for Christmas and we set up a tree in our room. We love decorating. Last year we had our first Christmas tree at home. I gotta find pictures. :santa:
