Got my WDW survey from last week's trip. Had questions I had never seen before, and was a wide range of questions too. Parks, Resorts, Dining, LL, Planning etc. One page asked me what my resources were to plan my trip to WDW .......... and Disboards was an answer!

Have occasionally gotten surveys from Disney as well as other companies in the past. I always thought it would make more sense to those replying if they would actually include you in the summary of the survey 'results'. That never seems to happen with ANY survey I have ever taken. Am more likely to participate in future surveys if they would let me know how the information will be used.

Many surveys seem poorly constructed by someone who has no survey experience. At times it seems like some companies are simply looking for data that supports an opinion they already have about a future product/service. The survey questions are slanted in such a way as to merely be validation of something they already plan to do.

Oh, this is definitely true. I used to work in our market research department and it is very interesting how you can bias the results of a survey in the smallest ways. We were often asked to do just that too - or basically they had already made up their mind and just wanted support for the decision. Fortunatley my department had very high standards and always tried not to skew results a certain way. Now, whether the requestor wanted to use the results or not was up to them.

I take a lot of surveys, especially about entertainment media, and some of them are so bad! They make assumptions and don't give you the opportunity to qualify responses. I always hate when a survey just ends before I have had a chance to actually share my thoughts. There is a lot of bad data floating around out there!

How cool!!
I always do those survey's after our vacations and The DIS was not mentioned on mine.
Now I'm kinda feeling like my survey wasn't well written - LOL!!!

In all seriousness, I was a marketing major and I do feel that survery's are important so I do my best to answer many that I get.
