Disney+ and the resorts are two different divisions, I believe. To put Disney+ on each set in the resorts would have to be acccompanied by cross charges betwen different divisions. Would the resorts be willing to accept that cost? Would having Disney+ result in an uptick to room take rate? I think not. I would not stay on site just for Disney+. Sometimes the biggest obstacle to getting things done is the internal politics, internal costing, internal control.

It's more likely to work the other way - Disney+ wouldn't help sell rooms, but having it there might help sell Disney+ to people after their trip. Put an offer in the room to sign up before you leave for a discount or something. It's really the streaming side that would benefit the most.

There are, but it would still require some kind of hardware upgrade to allow for it. The minimum expectation these days is that a guest should be able to hook up tehir own device to the TV - some hotels used to lock down the inputs. If they made this very easy to do at least that would be a start (I am not sure how Disney TVs are currently but I think they do have free HDMI ports).

They are, at least the TV in our Animal Kingdom villa. I took my Roku Express and we had no issues.

I have Disney+ on my Fire HD stick. Work perfectly fine at WDW on the resort TVs. Plenty of other content too. Of course, sometimes the WiFi at the resorts is a bit pokey.

should be almost all action than. Last episode was longer than most but we seen why it was longer. Had that Jedi training.

Well if we’re to take the episodes path with who’s directing the episode (Robert Rodriguez) then we should expect a ton of violence in this episode.

Looks like we now know when this series takes place. And I called it that they were filming in NY to get the feel for the winter rather than in Georgia as most of their stuff is filmed.

Snuck in an early viewing of Chapter 14. Another really well done episode, and you could see Rodriguez’ fingerprints all over it.

Boba Fett’s return was a nice surprise, wasn’t expecting to see him until at the earliest the finale, if not Season 3 or even until his Spin-Off. I feel like the reveal with him in the armour was shot to be a goosebumps moment, but I didn’t care. It was still cool to see, and I’m happy we’ll get to see Temuera Morrison tag along presumably for the final 2 Chapters. Love that we get to see Grogu showcase a little more of the force abilities and continued teasing of a possible dark side to him. His draw towards the Dark Saber and Gideon hinting as if he’s familiar with the saber was very interesting.

Gotta believe a Jedi will show up either next week, or more likely in the finale if they went through the process of the seeing stone as long as they did. Not looking forward to the Bill Burr accent again next week.

couple nitpicks

1) Ming-Na’s acting was kind of shoddy, which is disappointing because she’s a very good actress

2) why would Mando continue to try and break through the force field over and over and over again knowing he couldn’t get through to Grogu? Just seemed like a device to fill time after the 1st failed attempt.

3) That scene with Cara Dune was, as the kids would say... ‘cringe’. First of all, your child has been kidnapped by dangerous people. There’s no time for small talk. Not to mention Mando already knew she was the Marshal of the town. Did they completely forget that was already covered a few weeks ago? Then that look she gives when he says the child was taken. I think they could have done without that scene altogether, especially since I’m not a fan of Bill Burrs character in the show, so I’d prefer not to go back to him. Maybe just shoot that scene differently

very minor nitpicks that didn’t make the episode worse in my mind.

Also now with the Razor Crest gone (Man, that thing has been THROUGH IT) and Grogu’s egg crib, that’s 2 pretty big non-living characters they’ve destroyed this season. Cant wait to see what Mando is gonna be flying around in next.

All in All, probably top 3 or 4 episode of the season for me. Lot of action (The gruesome kills were Rodriguez’ feel to a T, especially Fett’s kills). Story progression was very well done, you once again get deeper of a connection between the kid and Mando. Eventually Mando is gonna learn that continuing This journey to find Grogu’s “family” is putting him in more danger than if he were to just go off on his own and teach him himself. The teasing of the darkness within Grogu. Boba and Fennec joining the team. A lot to love about this episode, but this season has been so strong that its probably towards the middle of the pack for me.

PS; Pretty cool that Ming-Na returns the same day Mulan drops on Disney+, I’m sure that was purely coincidental

PPS; How am I just learning Sarah Fin is the casting director of this show? Is there a more under appreciated worker in Hollywood? What she’s done in the MCU alone makes her a legend in my mind.

I believe that Mando knew she was the Marshall on Nevarro, but not that she had received the New Repbulic badge and thus their tacit backing. I do wonder though if she had access to that database beforehand.

I love Bill Burr and am glad to see him coming back. I knew they left him alive for a reason!

I wish those Dark Troopers would have done more, but I'm sure we will see it.

Idk, it just felt ill timed to bring that up. I get he needed to see Dune to get the information on Burr but just that scene was very messy and thrown together haphazardly in my mind.

I’m sure that’s not the last we’ll see of the Dark Troopers. Just a cool little intro to them. Other than Dope and The Wood, I haven’t seen much of Rick Famuyiwa’s work, he’s still relatively “new” to directing even though he’s been around for almost 25 years, but I don’t see how next weeks episode isn’t grim and dark, so I wonder if he can display that tone.

Yeah, next episode should get dark. They are generally doing such a great job with directors on this show though. I guess you weren't big on "The Prisonser" episode but it was my avorite of Season One so I am looking forward to it.

It's insane that they had Robert Rodriguez directing an episode. I guess Favreau is just calling up all his friends, and he has many!
