I have not read this entire thread so I apologize if this has been asked and answered a million times. Do we have any updates about the train at Magic Kingdom? Will it be up and running this year or no?

It won’t be open until the tunnel beneath Tron is completed. There’s still too much construction work in that area for them to have the train go through there.

Morning Everybody! Today begins the pause for the RoTR Virtual Queue.

Who wants to take bets on how long until Disney switches back to a VQ? 3 hours is a long time for them to let people be stuck in a single line, not spending money.

Then again, I suppose it’ll be a great way to get that sweet sweet Lightning Lane cash when they get that going.

exactly. make people suffer in opening month Flight of Passage length lines for a few weeks then offer them a get out of jail free card for the LOW LOW PRICE OF 20$ A PERSON, they'll jump at it. Really sucks. But say you take half of those people in standby and move them to a lightening lane, maybe the standby goes down for those people unwilling to pay (me)?

I'll be curious to see how long the line grows. That said lines for FoP and SDMT were often 3 hours or even more when they first opened and Disney didn't seem to mind nor did the people who ended up waiting that long.

Yeah… I very rarely wait in a line longer than an hour, but I love that ride! I can’t wait in a 3+ hour line (besides being a waste of time), I travel solo some, and I would definitely need a restroom break in that time - and then do I hope that the people around me are nice enough to hold my place after already waiting for an hour or two?? 😳

If you're in HS today, I'd curious to see how waits are at other rides today with SO Many people in the line for Rise. I'm watching a live video now and it looks intense. It wraps and wraps and wraps around.
I'm not there but I have been keeping an eye on the app this morning.

Right now it is saying:

Rise: 180
MFSR: 75
SDD: 60
MMRR: 40

I really was expecting the "non Rise" lines to be lower. It will be interesting to watch as the day goes on.

Of course, Disney loves to fudge the wait times, so who knows if those are accurate?

Probably not, but accurate enough to support the general idea that Rise going standby didn't immediately empty out the other big guys.

It's probably because the head of the rope-drop crowds got on and off the ride quickly, and are now hitting the other rides. They are less likely to go back into the Rise line for another go with wait times like that. All the thing really does is create a steady flow into the other rides as people come off of it - it delays the lines building at the other rides, but only by a little bit.

Studios desperately needs those missing shows back to help handle all the people they are letting in.
