I posted in D+ news, but also thought I’d post here... so excited for this!

Documentary Series “Behind The Attraction” coming to Disney+ on July 16th

“The series will be 10 episodes long with each episode about an hour long. Viewers will be given an exclusive glimpse “behind the curtain” of some of Disney’s most popular attractions by speaking directly with Walt Disney’s Imagineers and other creative minds involved.”

As much as I'd love to see this, there is a certain amount of magic lost when we go behind the scenes. Anyone else feel this way?

Yeah. It’s fun to see the oldies but maybe newer rides are better left staying within our imagination.
Dug around a bit and I think it's mostly focused on older stuff. Jungle Cruise, Star Tours, Space Mountain, It's a Small World, and Haunted Mansion are all mentioned, along with the Disneyland Hotel (?). I'm personally really interested in seeing stuff like this but at the same time it's like those vids where they reveal magic tricks: it's there if you're fascinated by that sort of thing but definitely avoid it if you want to preserve your innocence.

Like my husband refusing to watch any vlog where they show ROTR or MFSR. As a huge Star Wars fan, he doesn't want to spoil his first time!

I completely agree with that! Especially ROTR!!! I always have to look at videos of any new ride before I go on it! (big chicken!) But... that one I made sure I did not peek at all and I am SO happy I didn’t!!!! He will be happy he didn’t either!

I think this article was just for the Disney Springs location.... because I got excited for the prospect to mobile order my Joffrey's coffee with a shot of Kahlua in Hollywood Studios in a few weeks lol
Yep- looks like it is through the Joffrey's app/site. I do this all the time with my Starbucks. It would be nice if both companies allowed the in-park locations to use their apps to do this, though....

Um excuse me where in HS do I order this drink please
It's listed on the app as: Joffrey's Coffee and Tea Company in Pixar Place at Disney's Hollywood Studios

3 years ago, we found it down the little alley near where Toy Story Land was being built (but not yet open). It was a quiet little spot that was perfect for the kids to scarf down a donut while we had spiked coffee. And the person pouring our coffees asked if we'd like a double shot. I guess he figured anyone ordering a coffee with kahlua (or Jameson's for my husband) before noon would be game for a double (and he wasn't wrong! LOL)

I'm glad we are finally getting some news! Keep it coming!

As much as I'd like to attend Boo Bash, it is too much money for my family. I'm a little disappointed, but at least I'll get to see some of the Halloween decorations on our trip.

For those that don’t follow regularly, this is nuts. We bought in with 75 points being the minimum in 2019. It’s doubled in 2 years, putting the minimum direct buy-in at ~$28,000.

We bought in at 80 and now have 265 (combined resale and direct) but clearly they are looking to stop families like us from purchasing that way. Hopefully this means more member perks to come, because it’s a shame that the minimum up-front cost will box out so many people.
