I did notice that the new face mask policy specifically says that masks are still required on all transportation. I wonder if they are doing that to allow them cover to remove the distancing measures? Pretty limited space right now. It's been ok for us so far but we stayed at BLT and Poly both of which are mostly dvc only so that reduces demand a lot. Busier resorts might be pretty miserable

I thought it was due to the federal mandate of masks being required on transportation. Even in my area, all masks are dropped except on public transportation due to the federal mandate.

Universal does not require them on their resort buses. So if that is the reason I guess Universal is ignoring it? Who knows.

Mine has become a weird bracelet fashion accessory as I try to navigate which stores require them and which don't.

A woman I work with made us all little mask holders that go around our necks - kind of like eye glass chains. So, while I am fully vaccinated I still generally have a mask hanging down from that cord around my neck, just in case. Like if we go to the store, my daughters aren't vaccinated yet so I wear the mask since they are.

Our trip isn't until December - so all this news is exciting!! Christmas may feel extra magical this year.

I miss making ADRs at 180 days. Granted it was pretty far out, and at times I'd have to tweak things. But it seemed less stressful than 60 days out with limited choices is now. Maybe somewhere in the middle - 90 days?

We got straps for all our masks. While they are still required some places I think that's the way to go. Way too easy for the kids to take them off and set them down otherwise.

Do you think it would have been as enjoyable without FP with twice as many people in the park and summer heat though? That's what I'm looking at for my trip in two weeks and dreading the lines a bit
Yes I do 10,000% , I'm extremely grateful for each and every trip I am fortune enough to go on with my family....Having been there over Summer numerous times, I do understand your concern, That heat is NO joke!!! We Rope drop, Bounce at like Noon for a break, maybe some pool time, and then come back in the evening after its cooled a bit for last handful of hours in the Park... We get sooo much done in the last 2 hours.. This strategy has always worked for our Family of 4, specially pre covid.. FP+ is convenient but not necessary if you got a solid game plan, IMO..
We'll be back down end of Oct and I'm sure that's gonna be full blown bonkers but its still gonna kick *** cause it's Disney World !! Nivekious Don't stress it, You'll still have an amazing time..
