Yeah, but adding Photopass like they have at DLR is at least a value-add. All of this stuff is adding value to the product, even if just a little bit.

Except that for APs who purchased the photo add on to their passes, it doesn't add any value for them.

It's all great and I'm happy for the APs that can go after 2 without a res but with dlr changing hopping to 11am I feel like the 2pm hop will never change now.

I too really wish that Genie+ would go away. It's truly awful. However, the good news today about AP's not needing reservations after 2 and free parking coming back is a big step forward. Here's hoping eventually Genie + going away becomes that second big step forward. I really would not have ever guessed that parking would be free again.

I’m fine with Genie+ staying, as much as it irks me to pay for something that used to be free; I just want more scheduling capabilities added.

Looks like Meeko beat me to what I was about to say - those that have APs with the add-on are not gaining anything. I do agree for everyone else that it does add value. All I was saying is that I do not see Disney dropping Genie+ and making Fastpass free again.

Well, look, there's always someone who bought that thing before the sale or whatever - unfortuately, that happens. I don't see though how any of this can be seen as negatives though - not from a consumer point of view.

? I don't see it as a negative. I have an AP but don't have the add on so it's a positive for me. I think it's a good change to include Photopass like DL does.

Parking being free again screams that they see the perception that they’re nickel-and-diming folks, paying more and getting less, etc. The hotel prices have also gotten insane in the last few years so this is a PR win that might not cost them money when it comes down to it.

I don’t think it means anything for Genie+ though.

I agree. It's a sign of an attitude change. There could be more coming too.

Genie+ probably isn't going away, but if they can adjust the program to work better and offer a better bang for your buck, that will also be a good thing.

I've used Genie+ multiple times now and love it. It has worked fantastically for us.

I hadn't thought about it, but just double checked and was not charged for hotel parking last week.

Yeah APs need to have reservations on weekends to hop to MK. Weekdays they are free to enter a park after 2 pm without a reservation.

I would think so. This is geared to local ap holders that likes to randomly go after work or school.

The genie photo add on is only for ride photos. Not characters and magic shots and around the park.

I have the photo pass add on for my AP and can’t use all the cool genie+ photo lenses which is a bummer since it’s labeled photo pass lenses on the app. I thought genie+ included all the photopass pictures but maybe that’s only at Disneyland.

Maybe, but the market today is so different. Back in the 90's there was this idea that all of these hot comics would be worth something someday. That's of course impossible when they printed 20 million copies that were all kept in mint condition. The regular issues are already much more scarce due to the much lower print runs. Today, the highest selling comic is about 70,000. I'm not sure how much interest they can even generate in variants, since there is barely any interest in the comics at all.

Don't get me started on Marvel's love for constantly re-launching series with a new #1 ... that's probably worse than variants

Ehh, that's not even why I dislike them, though it is annoying. Their content is just...distasteful to me.
