I don't remember what my renewal would have been without the photopass add on... and I think that's $99 or something isn't it? so apples to apples my renewal would have been something like $1244, before adding it? Can't remember. No, but I'm assuming the $1,399 new price isn't with it either. The included photopass experiences are limited to attraction photopass, like park hoppers are, as that is what is linked in the official Disney release of the AP news.
Another day, another sellout of Genie+ at $35
Usually upgrades like that you have to either call or go in to Guest Services.I’m in the same boat. Can we upgrade thru MDE?
That’s what I thought. Bummer.Usually upgrades like that you have to either call or go in to Guest Services.
Most likely, like @Brocktoon said it will be about monitoring what the price is over the weekend, and then what the next high price may be during the next peak period for WDWI bet it will sell out everyday through Easter.
Quoted this before reading the rest of the tread yes you can upgrade outside your renewal window as of the 20th previously you could only upgrade during renewalDoes this also mean those with an annual pass (for example, a Pixie) can upgrade to a higher tier on the 20th?
Renewed Pirate with photopass add on Tuesday and it was roughly only $17.80 more than buying JUST pirate w/o add on newAt least they are still giving a renewal discount, I was curious about that.
This quote was about magic bands on cruise line…. Honestly as someone who also regularly cruises princess I’m surprised Disney didn’t have Magic band or other tech in place when the ship initially launched
I'm thinking it could also be partly Iger's friendly CEO PR campaignI'm also taking it, along with return of resort discounts, as signs that travel demand is leveling off or even slowing down a bit.
I'm almost tempted to keep my vacation package tickets AND purchase an AP. I'm so afraid about them selling out and I have 3 trips planned over the next 12 months. And AP would definitely save me money in the long run. Or, could I have an AP and my husband keep his 10 day ticket to keep the vacation package discount? I'm so confused on what to do right nowAlmost cried at the AP news. We already purchased tickets for our trip though and I doubt they will still be available by the time we get there the end of May. Guess I will have to try my luck to upgrade on the phones.
Yeah nice to see it expand beyond just the Kids Club use. Hopefully kids will be able to just use their own MagicBand+ for that as wellThis quote was about magic bands on cruise line…. It would be crazy if they didn't.Yeah nice to see it expand beyond just the Kids Club use. Hopefully kids will be able to just use their own MagicBand+ for that as well
With packages everyone in the room reservation would need to be on the package.I'm almost tempted to keep my vacation package tickets AND purchase an AP. Thanks for clarifying! I've never had a WDW AP and when I had planned on getting one for our last trip, they had "paused" sales just before we left. Now I just need to convince my husband that I need to buy an AP just to have ON TOP of our current ticket packageWith packages everyone in the room reservation would need to be on the package.
Not sure how it is handled now but we used to do the Free Dining - tickets required - for years. We also had AP. We would travel within the renewal period to Disney then have them use our tickets that were sitting in our account to pay for our renewal. A couple years I just held them for DH to use (he did not have an AP). If you do both it might be worth exploring if that is still an option. Thanks for clarifying!
