The nursery module at The Seas With Nemo & Friends Pavilion in EPCOT has reopened after closing eight months ago in March 2022.

Tropical Storm Nicole is likely to bring severe weather to Walt Disney World later this week​

Based on the latest forecasts, high winds and rain will arrive at the Walt Disney World theme park areas on Wednesday and into Thursday. As of now, Disney has not announced any operational changes for Walt Disney World and all parks remain open as normal.

Second Showing of Fantasmic Added to Schedule for November 8th at Hollywood Studios

A second showing of the newly-returned show has been added to the calendar for November 8th after initially only having a single presentation at 8pm. The newly added performance is for 9:30pm on November 8th.

Currently, the schedule for Fantasmic! moves to just a single performance from November 9th through January 17th. The single performance fluctuates between 8pm and 9pm based on the date, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit.

2022 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Character Meet & Greet Locations

Ahead of the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event of the season, Disney World has released a list of character meet & greet locations for the event. While the locations listed are official, Disney World has not released a list of characters. For now, we’ll use historical precedent to take an educated guess at what characters will be available until we are able to confirm tomorrow night.

Subtropical Storm Nicole Impacting Disney Wish and Disney Dream Sailings

Disney Dream ​

The Disney Dream will now sail a modified 5-night Western Caribbean cruise skipping tomorrow’s planned stop at Castaway Cay and will spend the day at sea sailing towards Cozumel. The revised itinerary is as follows:

1. Monday November 7, 2022 – Miami, Florida
2. Tuesday November 8, 2022 – At Sea
3. Wednesday November 9, 2022 – At Sea
4. Thursday November 10, 2022 – Cozumel, Mexico

Haunted Mansion 2nd Edition Tiki Mug Coming to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel

On Friday, October 28, 2022, the 2nd Edition Haunted Mansion Gargoyle Tiki Mug will be available at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar via mobile order through the Disneyland app for a limited time. The retail price of the mug and drink is $85.

We actually lucked out. Not knowing about these, I had already booked an ADR for Oct. 29th, at opening. My friend messaged me about them on the evening of the 28th (we were still in AZ). Our plan was to go directly to the parks on our arrival, as we had a FULL day of activities. But back to the ADR. When we were able to get in, I asked, and they said they had a few (approx 250). People were buying them up. We were able to get 3 (one for me, one for my hubs, and one for a friend of ours). There was a looooong line outside waiting to get the mugs.

The people inside, who were seated at the table next to ours, asked us about it. We told them, and they ended up snagging one as well.

I totally agree...at opening that day, the woman manning the check in said that the merch line was already 2+ hours deep, by her estimation.

Disneyland & Walt Disney World Cast Members Receive Access to Complimentary Disney PhotoPass Lenses Over Holiday Season
This holiday season, Cast Members at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, as well as retirees, will receive complimentary access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses, a relatively new feature on the My Disney Experience app. The feature is available through mobile devices.

Complimentary access will be available now through New Year’s Day.

Largest Disney World Cast Member Union Plans Protest Over Low Wages

Disney World’s largest Cast Member union collective, the Services Trade Council Union (STCU), is planning to publicly protest over low wages for Disney World Cast Members. The protest was announced by Local 737, one of six union members of the STCU. Currently, the protest is planned for November 30th, but additional details such as a time and location have not been announced.

…we made very little progress in our negotiations with Disney. We continued to emphasize that a $1 raise in 2022 does not help workers live during historic inflation. When a company tells us “No,” we don’t back down. So all 6 Unions decided that it is time to take our message to the public. We are planning a large protest on Wednesday, November 30. As soon as we have more details, we will share them…

Disney World Virtual Queue Announced for Santa Claus Meet & Greet

Guests looking to meet Santa Claus at Disney Springs will have to join a Virtual Queue. A standby queue will not be available. Here are the details:

Meet Santa ​

From November 11 through December 24, 2022, a virtual queue will be in place to meet Santa Claus at Once Upon A Toy at Disney Springs.

Guests can use the My Disney Experience app to enter the virtual queue. A standby queue will not be available. There will be multiple opportunities to enter the virtual queue throughout the day at:

• 9:00 AM
• Noon
• 3:00 PM
• 6:00 PM

Important Information

• Guests must be at Disney Springs in order to enter the virtual queue.
• One person from your group will receive a push notification directly to their mobile device when your group is ready to return. This push notification will also present a link to a digital entry code. If you are unable to find your digital entry code, you can locate it by going to the 3-line hamburger icon in the app (☰) and selecting “Virtual Queues.”
• There is a maximum party size of 10 people.
