Disney Park Passes can no longer be made for any guest category on Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11, 2022. This applies to resort hotel guests, regular tickets, and annual passholders.

Disney set to increase Doctor Who Budget

It appears that Disney and the BBC have a co-production deal that will be a huge boost to the long-running sci-fi series’ budget for Doctor Who.

A new report from UK TV industry press site Broadcast claims that the BBC’s recent deal with Disney, which grants The Walt Disney Company, with worldwide streaming rights to the series outside of the UK and Ireland from 2023 onwards—could see Doctor Who’s budget raise from its current approximate $1.1-3.4 million per episode to approximately $11.5 millon per episode when filming begins for the show’s 14th season.

Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket Still Available at Magic Kingdom

After generating initial hype on social media, demand didn’t meet supply and the limited-time sale of the Mr. Toad Popcorn bucket has been extended at Magic Kingdom. The popcorn bucket, which features Mr. Toad in his vehicle, is now available in Tomorrowland at the Tomorrowland Terrace quick service location.

In order to purchase, guests still have to utilize Mobile Order and look for the “Magic Kingdom Souvenir Release”. The listing has been updated to reflect the Tomorrowland Terrace distribution location.

Guests looking to purchase the Mr. Toad Popcorn bucket should note that the buckets could sell out at any time and that the distribution is only until 2pm, dailyuntil the buckets are gone.

Disney World Removes Hotel Availability Ahead of Tropical Storm Nicole

Nicole is forecasted to impact the Central Florida area from late Wednesday through Thursday, November 10th. Disney World has already announced some closures and cancelations due to expected severe weather from Tropical Storm Nicole, and now it looks like they’ve suspended new hotel reservations as well.

A search of the Disney World website revealed no availability for either single-day reservations or multi-day reservations with arrivals on November 8-10, 2022. Availability is shown for arrivals beginning November 11th. Disney World has not formally announced the suspension of new reservations for November 8-10, 2022, but they have announced some closures due to expected poor weather.

Disney announces Resort closures at Walt Disney World due to the arrival of Tropical Storm Nicole

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be closed Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11.

Disney is contacting Guests with current and upcoming reservations impacted by this change.

Performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue have been cancelled for Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11 in light of the temporary closure of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

Disney Vacation Club 2023 Annual Dues Released​

Disney Vacation Club resorts are not immune to inflation as member dues rise 4-8% for most destinations. Big increase set for Disney's Beach Club Villas.

Disney Vacation Club dues cover the operating costs of the resort (employees, park transportation, housekeeping, utilities, etc.) as well as property taxes and some allocation for long-term repairs and upgrades.

Disney World Rescinds Initial Resort Closure and Cancelation Announcement for Tropical Storm Nicole

In an update to the Disney World website shortly before 10am, the notices above were removed. Instead, the current notice below is only for the water parks and mini-golf experiences:

Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks​

Walt Disney World Theme Parks are currently operating under normal conditions. Please continue to monitor news outlets for the latest weather information.
Walt Disney World Water Parks and Miniature Golf locations are temporarily closed on Thursday, November 10:

• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is currently closed for the season.)
• Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
• Fantasia Gardens
• Fairways Miniature Golf

Just checked in to the Fort this morning around 9AM. The news broke as we were heading in. They have a manager at the front deck/lobby fielding questions as it's understandably chaotic with the closure announcement. Many around here don't even know as they pulled the message.

I've dropped by the front desk a few times today ... a closure decision was supposed to come ~ 11AM, but right now I've heard from management that the resorts are still in discussion and waiting on a decision this afternoon.

Just rumor for now, but I'm hearing the resorts are booked solid, so if they close the Fort, they won't be able to find other accommodations on site ... the campers may be on their own.

We're looking at plans to move to a nearby campground if we have to, and I guess we'll just take things one day at a time. for now though, the Brocktoon RV is on site 215, and we're heading to Trader Sam's in a bit!

G+ wasn't working for me this morning and I though that was going to be today's trouble shooting ... boy was I wrong!

Good luck! The resorts appear full, but yesterday there was availability not a ton but there was, they removed it all this morning, as the do when they need to close the fort and others I am guessing.

Disney Vacation Club 2023 Annual Dues Released​

Disney Vacation Club resorts are not immune to inflation as member dues rise 4-8% for most destinations. Big increase set for Disney's Beach Club Villas.

Disney Vacation Club dues cover the operating costs of the resort (employees, park transportation, housekeeping, utilities, etc.) as well as property taxes and some allocation for long-term repairs and upgrades.

Multiply the percentage by the number of points you have. For example, if you have 100 points at the Polynesian, 100 x .0794 = $794 dues.
