2023 Voyages for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Open September 1st to General Public

Guests looking to book a Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage in 2023 can do so beginning September 1, 2022, according to the Disney World website. Select guests were able to book yesterday.

While September 1st is the officially announced date, Brooke Geiger McDonald is reporting that guests may have success booking 2023 dates as early as today.

Available Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage dates through Sept 30, 2023 have now been posted online. Voyages with departures between Jan 1 and Sept 30, 2023 officially open for general booking Sept 1, 2022, but general bookings are already being accepted by phone today.

Early Booking Dates Released for 2023 Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Voyages (Passholder, DVC, etc)

Following the announcement that general public bookings for 2023 Galactic Starcruiser voyage dates will open on September 1st, Disney has released more information about early booking dates for select groups. Here’s a breakdown:
  • Aug. 25: Club 33 and Golden Oak
  • Aug. 26: Invited Star Wars affinity groups
  • Aug. 30: Disney Vacation Club Members
  • Aug. 31: Annual Passholders
  • Sept. 1: Open to the general public
While that is the official cadence for on-sale dates, there have been reports of general public guests being able to book 2023 dates today.

From various reports I’ve read, it might depend on the resort (the very near park resorts like CR are more restrictive especially near park opening time) and the guard. IOW, YMMV!
On the major holidays they have directed Uber drivers to the transportation center for the resorts around MK. Specifically if you don’t have resort or dinner reservations.

Just a confirmation on the reports - I booked the Starcruiser today for June 2023 and am NOT Club 33 nor Golden Oak 😂

I called and it seemed like a normal (I suppose) booking and they didn’t ask for any sort of affiliate group verification. It’s a long process (a 40 minute call and then a 30 minute call later since I ran out of time the first go) to get all the detail, prices for different dates, booking, and dining. But I am thrilled!!

Bonus Reservations Return for Annual Passholders This Weekend at Disney World

Following adjustments made to the Disney Park Pass reservation system, Bonus Reservations are back on the schedule, starting with this weekend at Disney World.

According to the Disney Park Pass calendar, Annual Passholders will be able to make a Bonus Reservation at the following theme parks:

  • Saturday, August 27th: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  • Sunday, August 28th: EPCOT

As a reminder, Bonus Reservations do not count against the allotment for your Annual Pass type. Instead, they are a “free” park reservation meant to drive traffic to theme parks that have extra capacity to fill. Bonus Reservations are one of the levers that Disney executives recently discussed when talking about the Park Pass system and attendance.

The Skyliner opened the day after I left on my last visit. I’m excited to finally get to ride it in 8 days! Now I’m just praying that the weather is on our side.
