New Buzz Lightyear Meet and Greet in Disneyland to Promote ‘Lightyear’ Film

Buzz Lightyear is now meeting with guests in Tomorrowland at Disneyland to promote the new Lightyear film. Typically, Buzz has a molded face to look like the toy and a classical representation of the character, but the new meet and greet features a “live-action” version of Buzz, or whatever you’d call it.

New Buzz Lightyear Meet & Greet Moves to Space Mountain, Features Possible Tease of ”Lightyear Mountain”

@timothy.af on Instagram shared a video of the Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear’s new meet & greet location in Disneyland: Space Mountain. Guests will be able to find Buzz Lightyear near the entrance to Space Mountain. The location possibly leans into rumors of a Space Mountain retheme that might be happening.

The heat today was no joke. Wow. We come to FL often in summer and this was something else the last 2 days.

(Universal today had a lot of ride/show closures too. Looked like due to weather. A few technical issues too. )

Dh was checking into our resort today at wdw and the rain was coming down for a bit.

Entire Week of Extended Evening Hours Removed From Late August Schedule

Disney World has updated its Extended Evening Theme Park Hours schedule, but there is an entire week missing from late August.

extended-evening-hours-schedule-06192022-1125x1400.jpg

As you can see, there are no Extended Evening Hours listed between August 17th and August 29th. Typically, we would expect to see EPCOT listed for Monday, August 22nd, and Magic Kingdom for Wednesday, August 24th.

Saw the headline and almost yelled an expletive in the grocery store!

That's the week before we go but our dates are in there. Goodness, I hope it's just a typo for folks going the week before us!

This was posted on the TPAS board a couple of days ago. The schedule on MDE shows normal DEEH on both those dates. So maybe just an error on the DEEH web page.

My daughter works in EPCOT and says Harmonious sounds different tonight, like maybe they are practicing with the live singers before the big streaming event? She said it sounds like the same PEOPLE singing but some of the tempos are a bit different and some different riffs. But that they are staying pretty close to the recording. So if anyone is in EPCOT tonight or tomorrow night, you might be hearing the special version!

Cast Members Restricting Access to Select Seating at Connections Eatery, Only Allowing Guests Who Have Food In Hand

The new quick-service restaurant at EPCOT is providing to be immensely popular with guests as not only a dining space but also as a lounging space. The problem is that it is so popular as a lounging space that guests with food in hand are having difficulty finding a spot to eat. Guests are either lounging or securing a table in advance of receiving their food, creating a lack of seating for guests who already have food.

To combat this, Disney Cast Members have been restricting access to one section of Connections Eatery to only allow guests with food in hand to enter. Other sections of the restaurant remain open, including the outdoor seating, but the layout of the section closest to the eastern windows provides the best ability to control access.
I wish every QS would do this!

Walt Disney World Restaurants Increase Side Dish Prices by 50%

Many Walt Disney World restaurants have increased the price of their standard sides, including french fries, by 50%.

Many sides have recently gone from $2.99 to $4.49. This is noticeable at quick-service restaurants that offer separate sides. French fries used to be $2.99 but are now $4.49.

We’ve seen frequent price increases at both quick-service and table-service restaurants recently. In January of this year, prices went up at almost every food and beverage location at Walt Disney World Resort.
Is this the case at Land too? Or just World?
