I forgot my headphones in my CSR room earlier this month, called in before checkout time (meaning the room was still technically mine, and if I’d been on property instead of at the airport, I could’ve gone back) and they were already gone, so this isn’t limited to housekeeping at POR 😢
I will say I left my Kindle in the safe at CBR a few months ago. The housekeeping supervisor called me on my cell phone and offered to ship it home to me. We had just moved over to the Contemporary, so she had someone drive it over within an hour and leave it at the front desk for me to pick up.

I’m very happy to hear that the bad apples are rare

Terrible for the people they were able to rob before the sting, but glad they got them. Hopefully a good signal to anyone else contemplating....though I do believe that to be rare (I hope).
It happened to our family while staying CL at Polynesian in 2010. Our then college aged daughter had $30 that she had left in her handbag, in the closed closet. When we returned, she opened the closed closet, grabbed her handbag and wallet to retrieve the money. She was going to the GCH to purchase her one and only souvenir for the trip. When she opened the wallet, the money was gone. It was the only cash in the room and personal items were locked in the safe.

Insult to injury, she was--as mentioned--a college student and that $30 was all the personal money she had for this trip. Obviously, we supplied her with her meals, etc., but this was her "personal" money for something special. We did gift her the item and we all learned a valuable lesson that all items of worth needed to be locked away EVEN in CL--a locked building.

Thankfully, that was our one and only negative experience in nearly 30 years of trips (most multiple times in a year); but it happens.

Not sure what dates you're looking for. There's a general public room discount for Disney+ members that is for July 7 - Sep 30th. This offer has been out for about a month now. Possibly that may be of help as it's for more dates than the Visa?

I'm not sure if they'll offer something for 'general public' without Disney+ as I think they're trying to encourage those who don't have it to purchase to get the savings. But those are just my thoughts.

I‘m looking for something OTHER than those two already released discounts, hopefully a fabulous passholder discount for YC on Labor Day weekend. lol ;-)

I would consider the D+ discount a general public discount - I'm sure anyone would pay $8 a month to save 25% on their hotel room.
Hmmm...I definitely would NOT consider the D+ discount a general public discount...especially considering we don't consider the Disney Visa offer a general public offer and that's free to have.

I think the OP was looking for a genuine public offer with no strings attached. We have D+ and it would be a real pain for us to book it, as it's under my DHs name. yet he doesn't go on Disney trips with us and so obviously all of our Disney account stuff is under my name.

I do agree that it's not looking likely for GP discount offer though.

Hope a pass holder discount pops up for you.
I was looking around today. I was surprised at how many resorts are available with the Disney+ offer over Labor Day weekend.

We stayed at OKW recently and accidentally left our sound machine. They apparently never found it.

Having seen some other pics that are now floating around from Creations Cafe, it does look a little better and has more going on in terms of brightly colored glass art. It's not over the top by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not bland.
