Guests Evacuated from EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion Today

An announcement was made that the Mexico pavilion itself would open before the ride inside— the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. That would lead us to believe that the evacuation may have had to do with the ride. From what we discovered in speaking with Cast Members, the evacuation did appear to be ride-related.

Before too long, the pavilion was open once again! The evacuation occurred around 11:10 AM this morning. As of 11:45 AM, the ride was still showing as “temporarily unavailable.”

I'm back after 2 weeks

Rides. broke. a. lot. I don't remember them ever going down so frequently in the past but I know they worked really hard to get them back up quickly. This wasn't that big of a deal having DAS, but the average park goer would have a really frustrating time with this especially trying to use Genie+ and not being able to book while it's 'temporarily closed'. I think Universal's tear down replace model means they avoid a lot of this, Disney World is aging and it's really needing to fully refurbish some of these rides.

Staying on site vs. off site. We stayed one week Saratoga Springs and one week Waldorf Astoria. Off site had better rooms and in room amenities hands down (those H2O products dried out my skin so bad). But Disney Resorts are just better, specifically in terms of food (quality and availability), transportation (though they need benches at park bus stops), and pools (very clean with stocked life vests and multiple lifeguards on duty). If you have kids the Disney bubble provides a flexibility that just isn't matched elsewhere, and that's worth a lot.

I agree with many of the points here. We just got back from a week. The H2O products noticeably dried out our skin too. I've never really had that happen with them before, but it was bad. Table Service definitely was quite high (not a new thing, but still...Space 220 Lounge I'm looking at you with a heavy glare.... yes, I did know ahead of time, but still... oof.)

We had some pretty funny ride malfunctions, which amused us, but if this had been a bucket list trip, it wouldn't have been so amusing. For example in Runaway Railway, the faces of Mickey and Minnie had many computer glitches. The most notable was when Mickey's face in the amusement park room was replaced by whatever was on another computer screen. It was upside down and I didn't quite catch what it said from the angle I was sitting. My son thought it said Ferris in reference to the Ferris Wheel. A couple times Minnie's eyes and mouth weren't exactly in the right placement either. Gran Fiesta tour also had screen malfunctions showing a gray computer screen. The morning we saw the MMRR glitches, was the same morning that Rise, and Smuggler's also had things not working right.

We experienced other highs and lows throughout our stay and in Magic Kingdom things just felt 'off.' I don't really know how else to describe it. Things like the music in Small World being lower and slower(?) plus this just 'off' kind of vibe. Maybe it was just me?

And where are the Mickey head balloons?!? We didn't see a single one the entire week. All the balloons were round with round balloons encased, no ears. There are a ton of 50th anniversary ones....but they don't have ears. Yes, it bothered me :P

We did have a good time. I won't keep rambling, but just wanted to say that we experienced some of the same things.

I noticed the balloons too! I saw a solid Mickey head and those earridescent ones with the 50th logo most of the time and people didn't seem interested in buying them. The rides did have some hiccups/features not working that I noticed, like It's a Small World not displaying names via Magic Bands at the end like they used too and Kylo Ren being in B mode on RotR. When did they take out the Davey Jones mist wall on Pirates? We noticed a lot of the merchandise locations not in MK or DS were still closed as well. Disney World is still trying to get back to 100% but it seems to be a painfully slow process.

We were just there a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that all the clothing was winter, among other things. A lot of shelves seemed thin. I did not notice the balloons. I think Disney is still having trouble with the supply chain. I am sure most of their stuff is made in other countries. Honestly, they need to think seriously about having items made in the US.

The Gardens Course at Fantasia Miniature Golf closing for refurbishment during May 2022

The closure will begin May 9 through May 22 2022, with a reopening to guests on May 23 2022. Refurbishment work includes replacing the playing surface and tees.

During the closure of the Gardens Course, the Fairways Course at Fantasia Miniature Golf and the two courses at Winter Summerland near Blizzard Beach will remain open as normal.
Is the fairways course the difficult one? Is there much theming to it? We were planning to go there on the 22nd (arrival / non-park day) but may need to switch to the Winter Summerland instead.

Yes. It’s more of a challenge particularly for those that golf regularly
