Do you know what company you used? Right now we're leaning towards MEARS Express which is pretty pricey. But with our flight times and how much luggage we're bringing, I don't want to chance using Uber.

I booked Tiffany Town Car Service of Orlando, it came highly recommended by Dis users and they have good review rates. You also have the option of adding on a grocery stop and they will provide car seats if you need them.

We've done Uber many times. It's pretty good. We started opting out of ME because Uber was so much more efficient.
I feel bad for those that love ME.
nt to DW in December, their estimated ME wait time? 4 hours. They ended up grabbing an Uber from the airport to their DVC hotel. I paid for RT town car service for around $150 for my upcoming trip, not chancing the buses

We Uber all the time for work/personal reasons/to get to the parks when I'm too lazy to wait on a bus, but just never have from MCO.

For some reason it just feels like such a weird new era in our WDW life! But hey, getting there faster is never a bad thing. It just seems like the "Disney" of the experience will start a little bit later now when we actually get to the resort.

How much does Uber usually cost from the airport to WDW?
It was around $38-45 dollars last weekend

I would say that's the average, but there are times where I've seen it as high as $75. That's what I meant by possible surge pricing, it really depends on availability. If you're going during a lower-average crowd time then Uber is around the price of a taxi, if it's super busy like during holidays and school breaks it's going to be higher. You can google Uber price estimator and get a better idea for your trip.

Disney World’s New Salt & Straw Location Sets Its Opening Month

View attachment 637691

According to News 6, Salt & Straw plans to open in March of this year. In an email from Alison Hiatt, Chief Market Officer for Salt & Straw, it was shared that “We are THRILLED to say we plan to open in March — exact timeline still pending construction — but that is our current plan.”
I am so thrilled about this! They have some of the best ice cream that I have had in the entire world. Only a place in Florence beats them out. I am so glad it will be open for my May trip.

I have to keep pressing 2 to stay in the phone queue about every 10 seconds. Is this new?

ETA: Now I get a repeat of "We estimate your call will answered in less than 10 minutes." Over and over immediately. Something is wonky.

I'm using them, too. We are a group of 9 and needed a van size and didn't want the expense of renting a car.

Wanted to remind you guys…

As of February 1st, the SUNSHINE FLYER bus service will be in business! They are already taking reservations. I know it doesn’t help for trips this month, but there will be another option!

We've booked Sunshine Flyer for our return from Pop to MCO in February. Currently have Mears booked to Pop but may change that.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, is it possible to request a quick grocery stop with an Uber? Have never used the service but based on info above may consider it for our trip from the airport.

TIA!

What you would do with an Uber/Lyft is just punch in a trip to the store as one trip, then call another from the store to the resort.
