Daytime Troubleshooting Taking Place for Problematic Harmonious Center Water Screen

It looks like Disney is continuing to have difficulties with the Harmonious hardware at EPCOT. On the debut evening for Harmonious, the center water screen projector wasn’t working, and effects have been missing or partial from time to time over the past three months of the nighttime spectacular. Now, after a misfire last night of the water screen, crews worked on the centerpiece barge this afternoon. It looks like the west side of the screen is working, but the east side is still struggling.

Disney World’s New Salt & Straw Location Sets Its Opening Month

View attachment 637691

According to News 6, Salt & Straw plans to open in March of this year. In an email from Alison Hiatt, Chief Market Officer for Salt & Straw, it was shared that “We are THRILLED to say we plan to open in March — exact timeline still pending construction — but that is our current plan.”

Salt & Straw is awesome! If you haven't tried it, fit it into your plans. I tried it at DLR, and not only is the ice cream unigue and delicious, the service was great too. I am excited that it is opening at WDW.

The smell of that place. Omg. I don't even like it that much but every time I smell it I suddenly forget that and have to go eat some. They have some incredibly fun and unique flavors I never would have thought to try, either.

back gate guests should have the advantage for remy which is fair as all the other rides they will be at a disadvantage.

Price Increase for Mears Connect Express Service

While the Standard Service remains the same cost, the Express Service (previously “Premium Service”) has gone up to $250. It’s possible that the Express Service is no longer considered an introductory rate.

We head to WDW on Friday for Festival of the Arts and I think this will actually (and oddly) be our first trip taking an uber from MCO.

It's weird, but I'm oddly excited about it? I know exactly when I'm getting picked up, I know I'm the first stop... Maybe I have just talked myself out of grieving ME.

I just can't see the value in paying Mears Connect for a party of two adults. $32/pp RT seems like a lot for what amounts to just a shared bus.

We've done Uber many times. It's pretty good. We started opting out of ME because Uber was so much more efficient.
I feel bad for those that love ME.

Had friends that went to DW in December, their estimated ME wait time? 4 hours. They ended up grabbing an Uber from the airport to their DVC hotel. I paid for RT town car service for around $150 for my upcoming trip, not chancing the buses or the Uber price spikes.

Do you know what company you used? Right now we're leaning towards MEARS Express which is pretty pricey. But with our flight times and how much luggage we're bringing, I don't want to chance using Uber.
