Roundup Rodeo BBQ Opening Delayed Until Spring 2023, First Look Inside



Disney has announced that the Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land has been delayed until 2023 and offered a first look inside. Here’s the announcement:



Andy’s backyard is getting ready for more toys! Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in Spring 2023 to welcome guests for delicious barbecue and toy-sized fun. We’re excited to share more details about the world’s first “Toy Story” table service restaurant, coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here’s a closer look at Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and how Imagineers collaborated with Disney Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney World Food & Beverage to design this one-of-a-kind dining experience.







Using his imagination, Woody’s Roundup toys, and other playthings, Andy has built a rodeo restaurant for all his pals. We are excited for guests to enter the dining room and discover just how much fun Andy had creating a rollicking place for honorary toys to enjoy barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.

Tornado Watch Issued For Disney World Area as Severe Weather Moves Through Central Florida

A tornado watch has been issued for all of Central Florida, including Disney World, until 4pm today as severe weather is expected to move through the area. The weather is currently in the Gulf of Mexico but is expected to sweep through Florida as the morning and afternoon progress.

Second dates sells out for 'Disney After Hours' event at Disney's Hollywood Studios

In addition to the first night on January 4 which sold out one Arly December, January 11 is now also at capacity.

No nights have yet sold out for Magic Kingdom, and ten nights remain available at Disney's Hollywood Studios through April 19.

Blizzard Beach Closing December 16-17 Due to Forecasted Low Temperatures

Blizzard Beach water park is currently scheduled to be closed on December 16th and 17th as forecasted temperatures are expected to be in the 50s and 60s. Blizzard Beach is set to reopen on December 18th, but that could change as temperatures are expected to dip into the 40s early next week.

Inside Look at What’s Coming to Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Lately we’ve been spending a lot of time at Disney’s BoardWalk, which is evolving into something very special as this resort, sitting along the idyllic boardwalk, is being reinvigorated. This year has kicked off a series of refurbishments for the resort, with new furnishings and the start of delectable dining enhancements such as a new Northeast-inspired deli and a lobby café–Carousel Coffee—coming very soon for those craving a specialty latte and pastry.

Construction is also underway for The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, a whimsical table service restaurant and bakery expected to open in 2023.

You’ll soon be welcomed into the BoardWalk Resort with a lively lobby update, and newly refreshed guest rooms that complement the artful design throughout the resort.

This upcoming year is sure to be an exciting one for Disney’s BoardWalk!

2023 will also be a momentous year for Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as it celebrates its 35th anniversary on July 1! The resort has been receiving some grand touches that weave familiar storybook charm into the Victorian elegance of this flagship resort. Guest rooms are currently being updated as we speak with more to come as the beloved Grand Floridian ushers in its third decade of magic. Great point and in my opinion this is what current management is either missing, not understanding or ignoring. Walt Disney still has a huge impact on people who never saw him alive and that is what makes Disney so special. Disney is such a unique franchise and gives them such a competitive advantage. With the changes they have made they are eroding this very special uniqueness which will come back to haunt them in the long run.

Just got back from a nine day trip. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at other guests' behavior overall. Most people were living up to the "courtesy" rule. I saw next to no "bad behavior"...

EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular is not long for this world and has been added to the lineup of offerings that will end at the conclusion of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary on March 31, 2023. Originally designed to be a long-term nighttime spectacular at EPCOT, Harmonious hardware has proven to be too unsightly in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon.

I'm hoping they'll be taken down too. Harmonious as a show is not good enough to have those barges ruin the view of the World Showcase all day.
