BREAKING: Disney raises price on ad-free Disney+ 38% to $10.99.

$DIS reported total global Disney+ subscribers of 152.1M -- beating expectations of 148.4M

BREAKING: Disney+ ad-supported tier will launch on Dec. 8. Price $7.99/month.

Hulu without ads will increase by $2 per month, from $12.99 to $14.99, effective Oct. 10.

Hulu with ads will go up by $1 per month, rising from $6.99 to $7.99.

Greeaat. At least I'm still on the 3 year plan for another few months! Actually, it's still pretty cheap compared to the other streamers, but still.

Yeah I don’t know that it’s worth 14.99 a month. Definitely worth the 3.92 a month the three year D23 plan worked out to. I think they’re going to lose a lot of the 3 year deal subscribers Nov 12 if they don’t offer a discount. I’ll probably end up subscribing for a month at a time two or three times a year to binge watch if they don’t offer a deal.

The 14.99 is for the D+ ad-free & Hulu/ESPN+ w/ ads bundle. Ad-free D+ alone is going to 10.99

Personally, I would like them to offer at least a one-year sub because I just don't want to fool with paying it every month. I know it's automatic, but I kind of dislike that. I'd like to just pay and have it with no worries.

Same here. I will probably only turn it on for a month or two, when whole seasons have finished releasing.

That’s what I have said for Netflix too, but I haven’t turned that back on for a few years now. 🤪

All the rate increases for the streaming services is actually good news for the parks. Stop taking all the money from the parks and start making your own money! Pending any bad news for the parks, I see this as positive. Sure I’ll pay a bit more for streaming but it isn’t much.

I noticed the new rates start about a month after the “founders circle” crew runs out…. I wonder if there will be some incentive for those that did the d23/passholder/chase Disney visa … 3 year plan

I second wondering if they would do yearly rates I like that I’m doing this for paramount + and plan to renew for another year in December (since the show it was initially purchased for got renewed )

I saw on a post of Facebook that 1 year of D+ ad-free will be 109.99, but I don’t know where the number came from, so take it with a grain of salt

Same!
I did that for HBO Max.
