I just hugged my first character (I am in Paris) in 2 years and about to hug Goofy! Hang in there, Dis-friends, if we can hug here, it can't take long for you to get back to the magic!

Besides still some hand sanitizer stations and some people with masks, it really feels like normal again.

I have never queued so happily in my life! The lower crowds and the unique situations that happened with creative Disney solutions due to covid were fine to get my fix, there is nothing like the real thing.

The 30th anniversary show is so much fun and the drone show is amazing. Tonight is the 1st AP party in 2.5 years or so, and the crowds will be intense, and probably uncomfortable, but it is great to be really back.

There is no place like home.

Isn’t there some Disney thing going on Monday? I wonder if that’s when we will find out when hugging characters will be back, fantasmic and it’s return date and a definite date for cosmic rewind. Fingers crossed for halloween party dates too since Universal has announced theirs.

I get it, it was only 2 years for me last November and was crying walking down Main Street at MK.

It will be 2.5 years for us. Two cancelled trips because of COVID (including Spring 2020). Disney closure and slow reopening including first fireworks show, etc. has symbolized the progression and stress of COVID for me. I teared up seeing the live stream of the first fireworks. Disney getting back to normal was like life getting back to normal. I might cry too from the weight of all that has happened when I go in a few days. We are taking a short trip because I just need to go back. It is going to be busy, but I'd rather stand in line at Disney then be at home.

Cultural Representatives returning to EPCOT's World Showcase later this summer

Disney's Cultural Representative Program will make a return to Walt Disney World in August 2022 after more than a two year-long pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disney said today, "the Disney Cultural Representative program will return in phases and begin welcoming the first new participants in August."

Participants from select countries whose program was shortened, cancelled or waitlisted in 2020, as well as those who had an offer and had not yet arrived, are currently being contacted for the first opportunity to reapply.

Disneyland California Adventure closed for the last two nights at 5:00 p.m. in order to celebrate Disneyland cast members and recognize their years of service.

I am so totally excited for this. I hope it's open for my mid-May trip. If not, I will have to hit at Disneyland in June and then try WDW in July. Their ice cream is absolutely amazing. If it is open for May, I can't eat too much until after the wedding I am attending. I need to fit into that dress at least for that morning
