Folks, the Eletric Water Pageant is pure Disney Magic!

It is also the most romantic show for couples at WDW. I have spoken!

I really want to see it again, but the only transportation options to get back to hotel from one of the locations is uber or taxi or driving your own car.

I need an opening date! I'm going to be in Paris in early June and could swing a day to go out to see it.
I would keep my expectations very low. DLP is notorious for overdue refurbishments. Phantom Manor was closed for 1.5 years or so, similar with the railroad and Walt's restaurant (although the last one was probably partially due to covid)

That said, you do not need an excuse for a day in Disneyland ;)

The last time I went was during the 25th and Pirates was still closed (so Captain Jack's was closed, too, and we had wanted to eat there). We JUST got on the soft opening of Space Mountain on our last day, but they were running it in the dark without any of the interior effects on.

New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

We’re gearing up to make a seaside splash at Disney’s BoardWalk! Over the next few years, we’ll be bringing new enhancements and offerings to life along this beloved, turn-of-the-century promenade – from a charming new lobby design and nearby coffee bar to delectable dining options, refreshed guest rooms and other special touches.

Waterside strolls will be extra special with storybook sweet treats and dreamy desserts at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, a new table service restaurant and bakery that’s sure to delight. Expected to open in 2023, this restaurant will offer both savory and dessert menus, along with afternoon tea service, in a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk that guests know and love.

And with this new sweet spot on the horizon, the BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop for guests to enjoy a bite along the water’s edge, joining other current food and beverage locations like BoardWalk Ice Cream.

Through the doors of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, light and airy touches will reinvigorate the lobby, lounge and guest rooms, carrying the seaside breeze right inside. Just off the lobby, a new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be available to-go or in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors.

So Cake Bake hit my Facebook feed announcing it before I even saw the Disney announcement. I'm not sure if other people even know what it is, but it is a BIG DEAL here in Indianapolis. Very fancy little restaurant where all my female friends go for lunching and celebrating birthdays/engagements/etc. Interesting that I will probably end up going to the one on the Boardwalk before I go to the one close to where I live because we always stay at Boardwalk! It looks like Boardwalk Bakery might not be offering sweet stuff anymore, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing if they expand their food offerings. It's slim pickings on that side of the water for anything but pizza and a sandwich or two a lot of times in the day.
