Does anyone still have the actual link to the Mom's Panel webpage on Disney.com? I can't seen to find it anymore. I think somewhere on that page they had a link to the Official Rules.

I thought they weren't going to notify the "winners" until Nov 2. ???

October 5 was the ORIGINAL deadline for entry submission, but since they closed it early, I wouldn't count on them already having the next round picked. They also ORIGINALLY only opened it to 5,000 contestants, then they doubled it to 10,000, so keep in mind that they are going through twice as many as they anticipated at the onset of the contest.

I'm going to try to forget about it and, hopefully, get a pleasant surprise!

Okay, I'm so glad I found this post! I thought I was the only fanatic checking my email 3 or 4 times a day, looking at the website, etc. I feel so much better now.

I agree with the posters who say it should be this week.
My thoughts are that I think they will make the finalists "plan" a quick pretend trip to see if we REALLY know our stuff. And that will take some time to do and then for Disney to look over. Then they have to give us time to plan our own trip. Or maybe they just think we know it all.

I'm sure one of us has to at least make it to the next round. I'll keep checking back. And good luck to everyone!

I think they will scrutinize whomever they choose very, very carefully. No doubt the first round of selected entries will be notified this week. There will probably be several rounds of interviews. They don't want anything seedy to come back and haunt anyone associated with Disney.

Also, no doubt the purpose of the trip in December is an orientation/training session. My guess is you can bring your family, but they will be touring Disney as you attend the training. But I expect that they will treat you like a Queen while you are there. Remember, if you get it, you won't be a Disney employee, you will still be a guest. A guest that they want to say REALLY NICE THINGS about your Disney experiences.

I am new to the DIS but applied to be on the panel too!

What a dream job!

I posted this question in on another thread, but I'll post it here too. Since this panel is only for a few months, do you think they will start the application process all over, or use the existing applicants when the first term is over?

Just a guess, but I think this Disney Moms Forum is on a trial basis for now. They will select from the applicants they recieved, using the trip to disney as an incentive to generate interest all around; for both applicants and future Moms Panel readers. Then, once the panel is selected, they will go online...and Disney will see what kind of response the panel gets. More than likely, if the forum is successful they will then reassess; who on the panel was good/popular, who was not, who wants to continue to do it, who doesn't, and then make a decision as to taking new applicantions for the panel. If Disney chooses to continue with the Moms Panel after the initial run, no doubt they will take more applicants as some Disney Mom bloggers may decide they have other things to do and drop out.

It's me!

OK, not really, but I'm just practicing for when they call me (yeah right, I was "hopeful" when it was 5000, but now 10000- me oh my!) Actually I was just telling DH, I'd just be excited if I made it to the next round- out of 10000- com'n that'd even be cool! How many do you think they'll pick for the first round? 50? 100? More? You have to figure that they have to pick a substantial amount because once they get talking to people, they might find the moms don't know enough or the "right" stuff (they just can write a really good essay). If they only picked 20 or so- they could widdle themselves to having noone left.

I can wait to hear when someone actually gets picked! It just has to be at least one person from here! Good Luck All!!!
