Don't forget to double check your 'junk mail folder' if you have an automatic junk mail filter (or even if you don't). You really don't want to have been picked and miss it...and you never know where an email will go.

P.S. I won tix last March to the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 Ultimate Fan Event; the email came from "Donald Duck." (that was the name of the sender i.e. Disney.)

I would love to get picked but with 10,000 entries there is no way. It would be my dream. Most of us pend so much time on DIS and TGM anyway so it's perfect if a Disboarder is picked. Good luck everyone!

I just want to throw a little pixie dust around for all of you who applied. I couldn't because I am a seasonal CM. I haven't worked since April, and will only work a few days a year till the girls are older, but I still couldn't apply. I can't wait to hear who makes the panel.

I'm starting to wonder if people have made the call-back interviews but have agreed to a confidentialy rule to not talk about having been selected. Any thoughts?

I think it will take time. It's only been a couple of weeks. And I'm sure a significant amount of people who make the cut will come from the DIS. I sure wouldn't take advice from a panel of moms who don't even come to the best Disney website there is!! Who knows more than we do???

That's what I'm thinking, that many finalists and people ultimately chosen will be from the DIS, with all this knowledge and passion for Disney on this board, I'm sure most of us would do a great job on their panel, but surely at least a few of us could put it all into words well enough to be chosen. I applied, but I am reasonably sure it won't be me, I rushed through my application and had a hard time with the 100 word limit, LOL!

I was wondering the same thing, seems like if they want to have the panel is place around Nov. 2nd then they should already be starting to narrow the search down. But I am still hopefull (even though I know that my chance is VERY slim!!) and will continue to keep checking my e-mail many, many times!!

Has anyone taken their children to the wonderland tea party? I've signed my son (age 4) & daughter (age 6) up for it when we go there in December and just wondering if it is worth the money. It is around $35/child for an hour long program.

Hmmm. Could this be the first qualifying test question from Disney? How ingenious of them to post it here on another discussion board to see how any of the moms interested in this thread might answer this.

LOL, I entered sooooo long ago that I actually forgot I entered! So after reading the first 20 posts (each one had a different date), I conclude that the moral of this thread is that NO ONE knows when it actually ended or when the winners will be chosen/announced!

Another post mentioned they got an email from Donald Duck when they won something from Disney...Who would email you to let a MOM know she made it to the next round?

Disney seems to like storylines where the mom is gone/dead...Nemo, Bambi, Meet the Robinsons, The Little Mermaid, Pochohantas, Cinderella.....etc, etc.

So who would be the best Disney Mom?

Waiting with the rest of you for any word I made the cut.

When I submitted my app. I tried to make it sound unique enought that I would stand out from the rest, but I think its going to be hard to set yourself aside from 9999 other Disney loving Moms!!!

As for the Tea Party question: When we went last spring, they had the Pirate/Princess party going on. I didn't really think about it so didn't sign my six year old up (thought that just being at WDW would be enough for him). I wish I had gotten tix as it got rave reviews from the other families staying at WDW that did go.

As for the confidentiality agreement...makes sense to me. And also, I think they are supposed to NOTIFY the ones who made the cut in NOVEMBER but The Disney Mom's Panel goes online in January. (Though I could be mistaken).

As for my application: I was so excited, I wrote it and submitted it really quickly without proofreading, and then realized I made mistakes like misspelled words and the like. DUH! Oh, well. We'll see what happens.

I will be sure to let everyone know how it goes! Hopefully, my 4 year old son will be cooperative that day and participate...otherwise I may be the oldest attendee there! I am hoping to try out the Grand Floridian afternoon tea with my husband while the kids are at the wonderland tea party. This will be our first visit where both kids are old enough to take part in these programs.

Last november we did take them on the Family magic tour at Magic Kingdom, they LOVED it!! I thought it was really fun as well. I would highly recommend it, plus the cost wasn't too bad.

As for the contest, I know they had Nov 2nd or around there as their cut-off for notifying. It just would be nice to have a little more time to plan and adjust vacation schedules. As for me, we are heading there at that time anyone so in the rare chance that I may be chosen I'll already be there!!
