Starting sometime soon, as a TEST, the Studios will be separating the Movies from the All-Star bus. This means they are going to be running an All-Star Sports & Music bus, and another bus will go to Movies only.

The reason for this is that Movies remains at 100% occupancy throughout the entire summer, while Sports & Music fluxuate.

This change is only a TEST... and will be subject to changes at any given moment due to demand or other circumstances.

Thank you Tyler for passing on hopefully good news for all.
I hope we can be part of that test. We will be at the ASMO the second week in July.
Will the busses still be running on there regular time schedule? (one every 10 to 15 min or so)

Indeed, buses will run frequently. You should be aware though, the resort is booked 100% full. Despite extra buses, it still will be busy. We're hoping that by separating them, it will help minimize any Signal 72's... (Our code for "Full bus, guests left behind")

******UPDATE******

I just got the official word... This change will also effect Downtown Disney, and potentially Animal Kingdom, if it goes well.

However... the separation won't occur until mid to late afternoon... This means from 11am-3, 4, or 5 pm, they could still be combined.

Once again, as a reminder... it is a "TEST", and can change at any given moment. Signage will be changed accordingly, so be sure to read them!

Thanks for the update Tyler. We will be at ASMo in late July so I will be checking back to see updates. No pressure or anything! ;)

Okay I have some questions about this. Have the All Star resorts always shared a bus to get around Disney? Do the All Star resorts not each have their own busses during the busy times of the year? I guess I was under the impression that each All Star had their own bus. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

During Magic On Demand (8am-11am) buses are dispatched based on demand. They could go to one, two, or all three All-Stars.

Post 11am, they are shared.

At the Magic Kingdom, the will be shared during the mid-day lull. Then about 3:00, when things pick up, they will be split.

Epcot will split them at 9:00 for the exit.

DAK, DTD, and Studios have always had them combined.

can you please explain the bus situation at POR? Is it down to one bus stop(south), and why? Is it possible it will return to normal by october?
we are concerned about this because one of us is disabled.
thanks for your help.

thanks for your help.

It was down to just the South Depot, however this past weekend, the West Depot opened up. The reason why is because only part of the resort is open. No sense in having a bus stop in a section of the resort that is closed.

I wouldn't be concerned at all. If one of your party is travelling with a wheelchair, having only one stop is actually in your favor. The reason for this, is that you won't ever have a bus pass you up because the ADA seats are taken.
