I wasn't sure which topic to post this on, but I desperately searching for an Elsa dress. I was wondering if any of you knew if I there was a way to contact one of the parks and have it shipped to my house. They are sold out online:(

They're selling out as fast as they come in at the parks as well. You can call their merchandise department at 877-560-6477 but I don't think you'll be successful in procuring an Elsa dress. The best bet is to watch the Disney Store website like a hawk or opt for eBay.

Unfortunately, it is one of the hottest items around. Disney Parks have a "freeze" on shipping Frozen merchandise at this time so, while you can call and check, I highly doubt they will ship you one, even if it is in stock. Reports vary widely about when there will be a major Disney Store restock from May to some saying they were told October, so who knows? I think people are having the best luck getting one from JC Penny. Still hard to come by, but at least they are getting them in stock from time to time. You could also try Etsy to have one made. I would absolutely go with Etsy before paying the folks on eBay. Please do not support the secondary market as it is making the few items available even more scarce.

No idea what went wrong with the merchandizing for the film. I understand why things went out of stock and needed time to restock after Christmas but it seems a little silly that Disney still hasn't solved the problems of making more stuff in April. Or that they can't even give a ballpark estimate on when a large amount of items will be back on the shelves for more than a few hours at a time. I have simply explained to my 5-year-old that right now Frozen merchandise is not available but that it will be again eventually and that, if she is still into the movie, she will get something for her birthday or Christmas. (Whichever date most closely follows things becoming available.) She has taken the news graciously. I mean, I know it is disappointing, but she isn't suffering from a lack of an Elsa dress or doll and waiting for something special will only increase her appreciation of it.

When you call Disney Merchandise Guest relations there is an automatic message stating all Frozen merchandise is unavailable at this time.

Sorry!! :sad2:

Disney did not intend for Elsa to be the main attraction of the film. They were aiming for Anna to be the major princess. So they underestimated the need for Elsa attire. The "Let it go" effect. It should calm down by October. They'll want more dresses out for the Halloween push.

You can also try checking at Target. I saw an Elsa dress at my local store over the weekend (along with the Anna dress). Otherwise, your best bet is try JC Penny (online or at your local store) and at the Disney Stores. At this point, I think the only way to get an Elsa dress (aside from paying the huge amounts on eBay) is just to get lucky and happen to be online or at the store at the right time.

I know that's the official word that they are giving however, Disney must have done market research pre-release and would have seen indications of Elsa's popularity. In fact, at our local Disney Store, Elsa dolls were selling out in early November. I went in during the first week of November and had to order one online as they were sold out of their first shipment to the store after one week and the cast members told me that Elsa dolls were selling at 2-3x the rate of Anna. So, knowing the popularity in October/November and then still not having merchandise in April seems a little strange to me. I'm not necessarily complaining because my little one has no trouble waiting for an Elsa Animator's doll but, it seems odd that they still can't get anywhere in having enough to stock their stores for more than a few hours. Just curious what other factors are behind not having Elsa things for the poor people who are desperate and wishing Disney would give answers on a general timeline.

From a corporate standpoint, they've done a horrendous job getting products on the shelves. There are tons of people dying to give them their money for Frozen merchandise. They are missing out on ridiculus amounts of revenue - on their highest margin products, no less. If I were a major shareholder, I'd be very unhappy. Whoever is responsible for merchandise, should probably be looking for a new job.

And one other reason the "Elsa is popular" excuse doesn't work is that there is a huge lack of stuff, in general. Hard to get an Olaf, Sven, and even Anna, who is just beginning to show up again in small batches. Yes, Elsa is the most popular but the entire film is massively successful and there is very little Disney Store and Disney Parks stuff to be found. Other franchises (like Sofia the First) hit it big and there was a lack of merchandise for a little while but Disney caught up within 30-60 days. (Yes, I understand Frozen is exponentially more popular than anything else Disney has produced in years but it is an example of a sell-out and reasonably-timed replenishment.) Four months is a long time to leave shelves virtually empty. I'm shocked that dresses may not be back in time for even Halloween.

They loaded some more Frozen items online today! Sadly no dresses (I am looking for an Elsa dress as well).

thanks for the question...I had the same one as my daughter is obsessed with Elsa and I cannot find anything anywhere. The above responses were very helpful. As the above poster suggested, I did just see they have some Frozen items in stock today at the Disney store. But, no dress. I saw some cute Elsa and Anna aprons on Etsy...

I would advise calling the Disney mall stores periodically. When Sophia came out, the website was sold out of her dresses for weeks. I called a few Disney Stores and found that some of them were still receiving shipments. They held the dress for me, and when I got there, I found they held one of every piece of Sophia merchandise that came in so that I could take my pick.

I just returned from DW. The store in Epcot Norway had Anna dresses but no Elsa. The big store in Animal Kingdom had dolls, shirts, sweatshirts, action figures you name it just no costumes.

May I suggest Etsy? I was on there recently looking for something else and noticed that a small few were selling their own versions. It won't be the "Offical" Elsa dress but it might be the only way to go if you must have one right now.

I scored an Elsa dress on DS site a couple of weeks ago. It was a Monday (wee hours of the morning) and they had just refreshed their website (they do it at midnight PST). I happened to have insomnia that night and checked. Pure luck.

I bought it as a future gift. My daughter actually loves Anna and is dying for the coronation dress. (of course) We are going to Disney in a few weeks, if I don't see it there, then she'll have to keep on waiting (and being good! hehe)

I was at Target today, and they had boxed sets of Anna dolls and costumes. Maybe another Target has Elsa?

I saw both Anna and Elsa dresses at Toys R Us last week. But the Elsa dress they have was scratchy and uncomfortable looking, and more of a "dress-up" quality than actual "costume" (if you know what I mean), so I elected to continue to stalk Penney's and the Disney Store instead.
