I know,, the way my throat feels right now I wish I could. I just told Bruce I am putting the kids on the bus and then working out and then going to rest for a bit before gettting ready to go. I have to be ok for Wed. night too....LOL!!!!

I am going to leave pot roast for Bruce for dinner tomorrow night they provide us with dinner tomorrow and Wed. night...


Off to bed just took some cough meds... Night have Happier Dreams tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ha ha...glad you can see the humor in it! But at 1030 at night, as you are trying to climb into bed and then you have to deal with THIS? ugh. It was just a bad thing....I guess you could say it was the precurser to the night we were to have!

Kristin, sorry to hear your not feeling well. If I am still sick on Wednesday, I am going to call the doctor. That will be officially 2 weeks. I am afraid I might have a touch of bronchitis though! Which is typical for me for this time of year.

Well, I am going to head to bed...just as soon as I put Colton's OTHER blanket in the dryer. the ink seems to be coming off. The thing is, it splattered, so it's all real fine, so you really have to look for it to see it, plus it's easier to come off. I'm not too worried about the carpet. It will have to be replaced in a few years anyway, and since the spots are small, they are actually hard to see. Maybe when I go over it with the carpet cleaner it will come up! It's between his bed and the wall, so no one sees it anyway....it's just, it's there.....

Okay enough whining from me!! Have a good night!

I didn't sleep last night either, must be something in the air. Actually in my case, something was wrong with my dog, so I was worried. She is getting better today, so hopefully I'll sleep tonight.

Anyone heard or seen those backyard ice skating rinks?
Hanna has been asking for skates so I am going to get her ice-skates and I just ordered the back yard rink tooo!!!!

I've heard of those outdoor rinks......they are alot of work to make it perfectly smooth though!!
We go ice skating for free at our local indoor rink arena...the boys have SO much fun!!

I finally got around to hanging our stocking this morning! so that's done, also had to make 24 goody bags for Kevin's class for Christmas, so I got most of those done today as well. I am still so tired again today, Kevin woke up at 4 this morning with a bad dream (go figure) so he came into bed and was very restless so I had to tell him to go back to his own bed...poor little guy!!

We have no where to go for free any rinks are for private lessons around here. What kind of skates should I get the kids the single blade or the double blade???!!!

Single blade. Steve says the double blades make it harder for them to learn to skate.
We don't have any indoor free rinks either. We do have some free outdoors, and we live on a huge pond. That hasn't been skateable the last few years though, it keeps freezing over in bad weather, so it's all rough and bumpy.

get single blades and tie ups!!!!! do not use the snaps or buckles they are really bad for their feet and ankles.

I do not skate LOL. The rest of my family does, but they don't go very often anymore. The past few winters have not been skating friendly. The ice freezes bad on the pond, then it's super super cold. They do enjoy it though.

We had such a great time while they were here!! We had fun at Knotts yesterday, but I have to say, I am exhausted!!

Right now I am working on my Christmas cards!! I am hoping to finish them tonight and send them out tomorrow!! I really need to finish my Christmas shopping too!!! Looks like another busy week!!! LOL

Good Evening everyone!!!!

Been a crazy day! Connor asked me to type a letter to a teacher this morning....not last night of course...and then I couldn't get the printer to work! Ugh! So we flew out the door. Then Jenn was home by 12!!! I left and called my friend and we met for lunch! Then I hit the Dollar Tree, Walmart and stopped at her house to pick up something I ordered from her daughter. Then home to make dinner! Put a roast and potatoes in the oven.
Even though I should have saved it for another day....since it's 65 degrees outside!!!! Almost balmy for this December day! There is a wind, and it's cool. We should be getting rain tonight and tomorrow, then changing over to snow for Thursday!
Growing up, I used to ice skate ALL winter! At the local park, they have soccer fields that have raised sides. Once the ground would freeze, the fire dept would fill them with water. Then we would skate all winter. I really was never very good at it, but we had fun anyway! I don't know if I could even skate today! It's been a LONG time! Now the local park here has purchased one of those artificial rinks. Last year it was out in the open on one of the soccer fields. This year, they pulled all the picnic tables out from under the large shelter, placed them around so parents can watch and set the rink in the shelter. Then if it's raining or snowing, it's covered! The shelter also has restrooms and a make shift concession stand, so they can rent skates and sell treats.

Off to sort wash and then have dinner!
