Michele...you are truly a good person.
I, on the other hand trust very few people and believe that most companies including Disney in a one-on-one situation, might say anything to leave a good lasting impression on the customer/client and then always fall back to "what is in writing."
I also believe that on occasion employees might make mistakes and say the wrong thing.

The employer/company should then be responsible for what was said. Not sure if either of these scenarios played out this time, probably not, but I think it could...even with Disney. Sorry, but I deal with this type of deception in my profession and it has created this "trust no one" attitude.
