Hi,

1st time cruiser with a couple of questions.

Are there any Marvel characters on this ship?

Is pirate night on the Halloween cruise?

Are there protective glass behind railings so children can not fall through?

Are there different movies on the Halloween cruise vs the regular cruise?

Is there any Marvel activities on ship?

We are going on the NYC - Bermuda cruise in Oct. We haven't been on DCL since 2005, but I might be able to answer some questions (others please correct me if I'm wrong!) Not sure about Marvel characters, but I don't think so. Pirate night is separate from Halloween night. It appears in several photos that there is plexiglass covering the railings. I do not know about movies played on the cruise, nor about any Marvel activities. I'm not into comic book stuff, so me personally I could care less about any Marvel stuff. To me it doesn't jive well with Disney, but that's just me.

Spiderman may be on the ship, Captain America too, other then that don't know. I know those two were on the Wonder in March and Magic in 2015

Unless it is a Marvel day at Sea cruise, they won't have Marvel stuff. We were on the Magic this summer, and now that they 'have' Marvel cruises, they're limiting the characters to those cruises. (One exception is the Oceaneer's club for ages 3-12--they have a couple Marvel themed activities and I 'think' a Marvel character greets them at the end of them.)

As far as railings, yes, there is plexiglass there. It's very safe. Deck 9 is ALL plexiglass up to ceiling height around the edges of the deck, helps to cut down on the wind, etc.

This is the deck 4 railing, with my 5' 10" DH leaning against it.

For a Halloween Cruise, they have 1 day that is 'Halloween', so all the Halloween based activities will be that day, but the ship will be decorated for your whole cruise. Check out some of the personal navigators from previous cruises to see what types of activities/movies they offered in the past. Last year they had a lot of 'Marvel Day at Sea' cruises out of NYC...so I tried to find one that was NOT a Marvel themed cruise.

The railings are very safe. From the plexiglass to the height and some even curve inward. On the Halloween cruise they do a special Nightmare before Christmas sing and scream.
