Disney Magic Music Days

Good to see that Videopolis will be put to some use again. It feels so empty in there now without the shows it was made for.

I like what they're doing, but....selfishly, I would love some Disney shows back there. Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and of course The Lion King.

Oh I totally agree :goodvibes The Lion King was perfect for that stage.

But I don't see it happening sadly and it also bothers me to see the Chapparal theatre so under used. :sad2:

we'll be there for two shows. Will take a look.

I used to enjoy watching the Lion King show at the Videopolis and the Tarzan Enounter in the Chaparral Theater. Does anyone know if The Tarzan Enounter is returning for the 20th?

yes, Tarzan is coming back for the summer of the 20th anniversary (there have been casting calls etc for the CMs) :).

videopolis is one place we never went in last year. what is it inside?

its a large area of seating (tables and chairs) with a counter service restaurant to one side. On the lower level of the area, there are theatre benches, and a large screen shows cartoons (when its not being used for musical performances). There are also smaller screens dotted here and there in the table-seating areas.

DS loved watching cartoons there and I got to rest my feet. it was a nice get away from all the noise and people.

On the occasions I have seen schools performing at Videopolis I have felt so sorry for them as people seem so rude. The orchestra or whatever come on and perform a few pieces to a totally disinterested audience then leave the stage with not a ripple of applause, apart from us - we always applaud in appreciation. It takes guts to perform to an audience, not to mention hours of rehearsal and I feel so sad that they are completely ignored. IMHO if someone is performing it is just courtesy to listen and give them a clap now and then as encouragement. :sad2:

My son is scheduled to perform at Disneyland Paris on April 4th with his High School Show Band. I assume this is where they will end up. I really hope that someone will clap for them. They work so hard! They are traveling from Mukilteo, Washington and will be in bright purple uniforms for those of you in the park. Give them the Disboard Cheer!
