Disney Magic cancels Azores stop

Oh, that's too bad- Ponta Delgada was such a beautiful stop, and a nice break after so many sea days in a row!

They have now arrived in Lisbon, Portugal one day early and have an overnight in Lisbon.

Hopefully the guests are able to come and go as they please during the night, experiencing a bit of Lisbon nightlife is at least something different in lieu of stopping at Ponta Delgada.

We were onboard this cruise. The Captain Andy announced the day before there was a very large tropical depression with waves up to 20 meters and strong winds forecasted for Ponta Delgada. He also came to both evening shows in the Walt Disney Theatre before they started to explain the weather in detail, including graphics. Everyone was allowed to debark in Lisbon the next evening immediately after we were cleared by customs. We could come and go as we pleased until "all aboard" time the next afternoon.

Ponta Delgada was gorgeous. We really enjoyed that port stop on our transatlantic back in 2018 I think it was. Sorry this ship couldn't stop. It was such an interesting island.
