Disney M&M's - Have You Seen These?

I just happened to notice an e-mail from M&M's in my Inbox today. I didn't know they were making Disney M&M's! Maybe I am the last to know? How cool! I love the Toy Story and Cars ones.

Those are cute. I've never seen them. I've seen the ads for making your own pictures and sayings but not those. Then, of course, you would need the Disney candy machine to go with it.

Those would be cute for those parents who are looking for a little extra treat to bring to DLR for their kids. OR... they could be in one of those surprises when they tell the kids they are going to Disneyland.

When I opened the e-mail this morning and copied the link to paste here, I didn't look too closely at what box or packaging the Disney M&M's are put in, but I see potential for more marketing/merchandise opportunities. Like for the Toy Story M&M's, they could make a Toy Chest dispenser thingy, or if they did a Pirates theme, they could have a treasure chest dispenser. The Cars M&M's could be in one of the actual Cars characters as a dispenser. Pooh M&M's could come in a Hunny Pot. You get the idea.

See, I am letting the dreaded DSE syndrome (the Disney Snowball Effect) infiltrate my thinking! Now I am making a snowball out of some perfectly innocent little candies! Darn that DSE!

I know. I would feel guilty eating them. As it is, I already love the little M&M men that have become the mascots for M&M's. I love their commercials and I love that they have different little M&M colors for holidays like Halloween, and special dispensers for Valentine's Day, Easter and Christmas. So combining them with Disney just screams, "Collect me, please!!" But I would feel like I was killing a Disney character. I would be thinking, "Oh no!! I just ate Woody and his giant head!"

(Tag Fairy....stay back...don't come near me...I know what you're thinking. Stay far, far away....)

......OR....(the DSE merchandise/marketing machine is still at work in my head!)...in addition to selling the Disney M&M's in cute Disney-fied dispensers (like the Toy Story Toy Chest or whatever), they could also sell the regular M&M mascot dudes wearing Mickey ears , or dressed as the Disney characters that appear on the M&M's (like dressed up as Woody or wearing Mickey's shorts or whatever)! I think there is a lot of potential there - and I hope M&M's taps into it!!

I LOVE these!!! They are so adorable. I ordered personalized wedding m&m's last year and am so bummed these didn't come out earlier. I was able to sneak in a few Disney touches and this would have been another great thing to sneak in

$140 actually and really for 5 lbs of M & Ms, do you know how many that is? That's a lot of candy. LOL I would do it for a wedding but not much else, anything else I'd do the 3 7oz bags for $40.

I once won 8 cases of M & Ms. It would be sweet revenge to munch on a picture of your ex lover, lol but when I can get them for $8 a pound I will pass this treat up.

Friends of ours got M&M's for their kiddos for Christmas with their pictures on them. They're cute, but kinda scary too DD's friend gave her a few of them. DD wasn't sure if she should eat them or not.

They are kinda expensive...but for that hard to buy for person or the one that has everything, they might be worth it.
