Disney just scared me!

Okay, I am a newbie owner of DVC but I just saw that video. I spent half of the video trying to decide if Deevy See was a drag queen.

That is the first time I've actually seen Deevy, but according to posters she has been around quite a while. I think she debuted on the cruise line, and also was showcased at the opening of the Doorway to Dreams in Chicago.

She's quite a character, and lets face it, at some time in our lives, we've all met someone as flamboyant in real life as she is in character. I wouldn't call her a Drag Queen, more of an Auntie Mame...life is a banquet.

That was the first time I saw Deevy See too. Now she didn't remind me of a drag queen at all, but I've known several ladies like her in my lifetime including my 3rd grade teacher!!!! You know the ladies from my childhood that would be getting there hair "set" every week and wear big chunky jewelry and you just know she had a bottle of perfume sprayed on her!!!!!

Sorry, but she was the "personification" of the gushing on these boards about the location, the view and the attempt to get "sneak" peeks at BLT rooms!

I loved her!
But I won't be buying!

My husband and I are HUGE Deevy fans. She is an over-the-top, fun, very witty character who we visit whenever we get the chance (at Welcome Home Wednesdays!) I'm soooooo glad it was Deevy who got to announce Bay Lake Towers. We laughed all the way through the video!

Haven't seen her since...until this morning! It was nice to see her again.

If I were new I would run away from it. But luckily we were introduced and bought in before we saw this.

I am not a huge fan of hers either, but Disney knows how to market. I am sure she has been pre-tested and tested well, so they felt comfortable using her for this.

When I first saw the picture on the email announcement, I thought yuck. But when I saw the video, I had to laugh. Yes, she is a DIS Board member! Disney is making fun of us and it was very funny.

Oh, my. If I hadn't already been a DVC member, I sure wouldn't want to buy in based on that video. Absolutely horrible ad. Why on earth would you use a screechy, annoying character like that to sell what's supposed to be the most upscale DVC resort?

Is she gonna be in the Travel Channel show? I hope so, it'll keep the buyers away, there'll be more points for us members to buy!

Well apparently, all DVC members must also be alcoholics as dear Deevy had a drink in her hand 90% of the time.
Does this mean I can't enjoy the BLT Sandwich because I don't drink?
If Deevy needs an AA meeting I'll be happy to take her!
Then again, I worry what she would be like after all that COFFEE!
