Personally, I think if the Parks are doing it for deployed US military, then they should honor the same deals for deployed coalition military. But I also wonder if, perhaps, there are parks and businesses in England that are giving perks to UK military, but not to deployed US military personnel? It would be the same thing - wouldn't it?
Please write and voice your concerns to the Disney Corporation, so perhaps all military personnel, active or reserves, US or Coalition may be included in this salute.
We were stationed in the UK during/after 9/11. DLP was not included in the Military Salute that was offered stateside, I called and asked at the time. I hope they do decide to include DLP this go round, lots of military stationed in Europe would benefit. I think emails to Disney asking them to consider our allies in this promotion should be in a kind tone - catching flies with honey and that sort of thing. Can understand the dissapointment but anger may hurt rather than help, IMHO.
Sweet! My brother is in Iraq right now, but his unit should be stateside by the June/July timeframe. I definitely need to mail this bit of info to him.
Well, I've e-mailed Diney, but don't hold my breath for a response. As well as the coallition issue, I've asked them why DLP is not included, afterall there is quite a number of US military based her in UK who would be able to benfit, even if they could not make it to USA
